Hi Folks.
Another part I have ordered for Lynne's Computer as I chase reasons as to why it just refuses to work.!
Half of the memory I have brought for Lynne's Computer arrived yesterday,
After me trying to do things when I should not even try to as my mind/brain just was not in the right place!.
I have put the ddr3 modules on Ebay and we now have some DDR4, which the replacement board uses. And hopefully will solve the issue.
As I need the box for items I have SOLD, my temp repair bench has to go!.
Which means, I have to put Lynne's Computer back together again.
Not that I want to as it restricts what I can easily see and my shaking hands do not help.
So I grab her computer case and put it on my stool and get ready to see if I have finally resolved the issues.
But in go's the motherboard & it is soon screwed into place.
Using me model railway magnifier and gripping tool, I can finally see the details on the motherboard I am after..
And just connect the power button for now.
In go's the new power supply. altho this may be swapped out with my powerful power supply as I try to reduce the wattage usage of mine, so I can use it when away in Scotland in the camper.
It is time to connect both Motherboard leads from the power supply
and see if it works ???
we have power the cPU fan is spinning away nicely :) :)
Now it is time to hook up the monitor, but nothing happens, the monitor just goes to standby mode....
So I re check everything, but as we have no speaker fitted,
we cannot here the fault codes.
Now I know I have an old computer case in the computer room somewhere, so I am gonna have to hurry up my tidy up and find it for it's speaker!.
For the first time in over 2 months, an update asked for me to reboot my computer.
So I powered it down and removed my speaker.
I added it to Lynne's Computer but no sound from it (So either the computer is not getting as far as post or it is not compatible with my weird speaker!.
So back to sorting thru the computer room later.
