Double Bonus job, to have worked out and cut the bed frame & have it mounted!

After a quick discussion of what we hope to do today,

we start with screwing this last baton home.
As I could not find the charger yesterday we used the electric drill instead.

We still have some covering to do, but that will be done later, possible when I am on my own.

The new batch of 3x2s are actually 4x2s, not fussed as I paid 3x2 prices :) :)

We cut 5 of them for the bed rails, and sit them out of the way.

The rest, I am not sure where they will be used, so we cannot cut them to length.

So we move them over the bed side boarding, so they are out of our way.

We then moved the sheets of 3 & 9mm ply to the other side of the van, luckily it is not raining as about 6" stick outside the door.

So we put this 9mm board to one side, as I think we will be using it soon!

We need to move these boards, so we can get to the kitchen unit, so we can carry on working.

Before we can carry on, we need to have a bit of a tidy up of bits that have fallen off the kitchen unit.

Discussing our next move, which unfortunately means we have to remove some items we have stored in the bathroom.

Before we can bolt the bed in place, we need to bolt the kitchen unit to the bathroom wall.

But unfortunately when we covered up the bathroom wall, I forgot to mark were the holes for the sink were drilled.

Luckily one of them misses the kitchen unit, so I drill a hole using that.

Remember that off-cut of 9mm ply ?

Well we are gonna slide it between the kitchen unit and the bathroom wall.

So we cut it to fit and after a quick plane, we start to slide it in place.

Whilst tapping a small off-cut of wood to tap the 9mm board in place, the rubber mallet handle broke!!

We still get the board in place, and the 2nd sink hole bolt drilled thru into the kitchen unit.

Time for meds now, as good a time as any, as we need to get the threaded bars, which are in the living room.

Back in 20

We are back, but the rain and the coldness outside, mean we cannot carry on for today!.
So we decide to do some painting instead.

It did require us to move some stuff around, but it's a small price to pay.

Lynne is masking up around the foot board, so as not to paint the green..

Whilst I sit on the other side of the bed, and start to paint the bed frames.

As usual we will give everything 2-4 coats of paint.

Altho we hope to add some foam and material to cover the foot board part of this panel, we paint it all.
As we are unlikely gonna get that done for quiet a while yet..

I cannot paint anymore, other wise Lynne will not be able to get out.
But that is the 1st coat on 3 of the frames. One side is yet to be painted.

Lynne is doing a grand job, it's only the 1st coat, but already looks brighter and more cheerful.

That's were we call it a day, as Emma & Timmy will be video calling soon, and it is tea time...

Ok we was not planning on doing any painting today, as we are not ready for it, but having said that it will save some time later on, as it will already be done.

As it is my birthday tomorrow, and I do not know what is happening, I will say that anything that gets done will be a bonus.

A bit of a let down this weekend, as I was hoping we would get a lot more done, but if my stomach is too bad and my eyesight is not good, then its wise to just rest until it all improves.
