Morning Folks.
Another busy day, processing items from Saturday and today that have been paid for.
A lot of work as most of the items went for less than £3.00, making the total profit rises very small and taking a very long time for the figure to rise.
By about 8pm when I had finished for the day the total profit made for December so far is just over £216.00 to be slit 50% to each of the 2 money jars :) :)
By my count, I have processed 76 items ready for the Postman on Monday Morning, to add printed labels too and scan into there collection database.
I am lucky as I mostly only have 2 postmen, both close to retirement and both now part time, till they retire.
So we know each other very well, and we have a system we have worked out, so they both say they manage to sort, label, scan, put in post bag, in far less time than other collections with a lot less items...
This weekend Lynne n me, have accepted that I had a few bad days, and now are looking forward, to me getting back to were I was earlier last week and hopefully my mental health will continue to improve.
So in between processing items SOLD, I have been catching up on some other Albums, and Bringing them up to date.
More items have arrived for the conversion album - has been updated, not only with pics of items that have arrived, but an issue with 1 major item, and loads of plans laid out - So I can refure to them as I will almost certainly forget about them, unless my memory issues start to improve.
In fact in the Mornings, I set aside an hour or so, just to go thru the latest updates I have made the few days previous, just to remind me (and in some cases this has been worth while).
It is easy as I leave each page I have been working on the day before open in the Tabs of my browser page.
In fact some of them are permanently left open.
Which reminds me, I have had a few messages asking about when pages go lives ?
Some pages are updated live! if I am updating an existing Albums posts.
New posts normally go Live later the day before I mention them, or 1st thing the next morning.
The great thing about using the Blog options on this website (altho it creates more work for me) is that on the home page you are notified as soon as I update of add a new Album.....
Right back to today's Update....
Items Sold for Scotland trip have been updated, (but as of today are still not 100% up to date, hopefully by Monday evening I t will be)
I re-listed some 130 odd items today! - As Sunday listing of items, will normally only be relists.
After 3-4 relists any items will then go to permanent listings - all are preset by eBay to "Buy it Now" & "Make a Offer"
When things go quiet I may close certain items and relist them as auctions again, as this has proven to work work for me before.
Because there is a 99p start limit, any cd's or items I would normally start at 49p, If people make an offer at that price, I will accept the offer.
Dejavuroadshow Album, is undergoing a major updates in the "The Sell Off Starts!" Albums. I have created over the weekend.
These albums only have 2 Albums on every Album.
1. Disco Related Items Listed
2.Disco Items SOLD
This really is for me, as the computer room tidy up progresses I am finding more Disco Items and not all CD's!
But it does let me know at quick glances at each album, to see what still for SALE & what Has SOLD.
I am now trying to find 1 hour a day in the evening to Delete Items SOLD and generally to keep them up to date.
They are very close to being totally up to date. So should be all sorted in the next few days. as I rework my daily job calendar.
I will NOT be updating the older ITEMS LISTED Albums from there original LISTING DATES. But when an LISTED ALBUM has less than 6 item's left to be SOLD.
I will add them to the latest relisted Album and delete from the Original Album.
Eventually Hopefully the older Albums will only have Items SOLD Album, and I may at the end of the year amalgamate, them into 1 Album, that will cover all the Dates SOLD.
This is just to help keep the Albums tidy and as compact as possible....
So Far have added:-
10th December 2022 - Disco Update - The Sell of Starts!
6th-7th December 2022 - Disco Update - The Sell of Starts!
2nd-4th December 2022 - Disco Update - The Sell of Starts!
25th-27th November 2022 - Disco Update - The Sell of Starts!
I am hoping to change the Life n Grimes to a more rounded day by day of how things are going, and not solely all about my health.
We have found that if I can see that I am doing things then It seems to help my mental health for a while, enough usually to get me started on the next day, and that is the important thing.
As those who suffer the Black Dog, know (sometimes we do want to see or admit) it is so easy for us to feel all alone, and just want to curl up n hide and then our minds take over with the negative issues/faults that affect the sufferer, we do not all suffer with the same issues or faults, which I have come to believe is what none sufferers cannot understand or comprehend.
Even today when we can put up such a good front (at least whilst in company) altho this sometimes fails us and we just have to walk/fade away.
But we are NOT hopeless or helpless, with the right help/support, we can show some improvement.
I do not think there is a cure for depression, but I am starting to believe if we can find something to grab hold off, that means so much to us, that thing scan improve so much, that the Black Dog has less control over us, or we can learn to fight he black dog as it starts to attack!
But that requires a inner strength, belief your in yourself, that most of us do not have!
or those around us just do not give us, either because they just do not know how, or are oblivious to our silent suffering.
From what I have learned from these "Life n Grimes" posts, from replies from fellow sufferers or private messages from those who are not brave enough to post, is that we are all 1 short step away from ending it all.
I am lucky as I have reasons to not go down the thought process, altho as you may have seen posted in these rantings, that I am not immune to them....
1. Lynne made me promise to never take my own life " A promise that I could not break" altho I have come extremely close a few times.
2. are fellow sufferers who reach out to me - Something I never expected, but I always try to answer as honestly as I can, as well as try to give them a shoulder to vent at..
3. and finally this website, which has overtaken facebook!, altho at the moment it is amazing how, if I do not add an update to this website each day, just how the visitors dry up straight away, and when I post when I check the next morning the number of visitors rises again.
I can also see just what pages are visited the most, and when I can I try and add updates to them.
Not something I have been able to do for a while, due to the need to raise funds as quick as I can, or my health gets in the way....
