After the MOT, its a quick trip round to Alfreton, to see Luke Thornly who I have been chatting to on Face Book 🙂 : )
He has the larger petrol tank than my smaller one
and to be fair to Luke, it was all in better condition that I was expecting
So I parted with £90.00 of my very hard earned bike tokens
and after a good chat, (another friend made )
We Load up the van
We Load up
Ok I have some work to do, but its a winter project for Vincent
We are hoping to increase the fuel mileage from 75 MPG to go on reserve - upt o nearer 100 MPG before reserve
front tank/frame plastic as is usual has been repaired,
but once sanded back and given a coat of paint no one will know
Console is in pretty good condition.
and we will have a fuel Gauge
(Not that They are that Accurate), but better than what we got now
Tank will need prepping and spraying before installing on Vincent.
The console sets the tank of just right.
Never sure about these chains, always worried the will chip the paint
Will need the side badges - just hope they are available.
Once its all cleaned n sprayed up and on bike and it works 100%.
I will sell on my current petrol tank, to help recover some of the expenses
Bet taps full of dried fuel. with cost of new ones will probably just replace it.
Chrome has come up much better than expected..
