12th October 2022 - Life n Grimes

Morning Folks.

Today is again another good day, Still not light at the end of the tunnel, but I feel a lot lighter as if the world has been lifted of my shoulders.

Val & Donald have had a huge part to play in this change in me, and with it Lynne is a bit happier and we are again talking.

Mainly about plans for next years trip to Scotland and it looks like she is coming with me as well :) :) 

Michael came back home around 9amish, and said his car kept cutting out and that it was down the road for them to look at, and had arranged to work from home..

This morning was spent working on my computer and my new website, some work behind the scenes, but also sorting thru pics recovered and getting them in some sort of order and will soon be ready to start adding to albums.

All the pics I am now using have been recovered from that faulty harddrive that's been recovered so far.
But with me screwing up Ubuntu and altho I did get it working again it was unstable. (more about that in Computer room soon).

At the moment I only have 2 harddrives in my computer and one is the faulty harddrive and the other is the new 4TB harddrive I brought a few months back and that is now getting pretty much full up.

But I have re-started the file recovery process on the faulty harddrive, so when that is finally finished I can shut down my computer and replace the faulty harddrive with another faulty harddrive I have plus one of the 10 other SSD's & harddrives I usually have installed. 
Altho some may end up in my external boxes to be used just for backups.

This afternoon I fancied going for a drive in the transit, and surprisingly for me I walked out the back door and the gate without any thought or resistance that I have been suffering since early 2019.

After a drive I stopped in at Val & Donalds, just to say thanks for the chat on Saturday, but as usual it turned into 3 plus hours...

I came home, Michael opened the door and told me mum has a lift after meetings, and that the garage could not get the car to play up.

No warning lights, nothing on the diags unit, so they keeping his car and will try again in the morning.

I said I have app at Peterboro hosp at 9am tomorrow and will take Lynne to School. 

So we settled down to watch "Kes" that I brought from Amazon prime streaming service. Brought back many happy memories :) :)
