I am back down the workshop, pottering about with Kurgans rebuild.........
The replacement carbs arrived this morning, So I decided to fuck everything else and try n get Kurgan finished.......
So first job is to strip em down n check float heights and to make sure everything is working.
The chokes are seized - but I'll worry about them later.
out come the std Mains Jets
To be cleaned up - they are not too bad and fitted the larger jets from the old carbs
The float bowls also need a good clean
and slowly start to reassemble them.
As you can see the bowls are not too bad - from carb 3
As you can see the bowls are not too bad - from carb 4
Anyone know anyone who lives in Saudi Arabia, so I can post all the desert sand back to them :) :)
and they are soon fitted on to Kurgan
But will they leak everywhere ?
Will Kurgan like to drink from his replacements carbs ??
on goes Kurgan's throttle cable
and loosely fitted is the petrol tank.
Unfortuantly carbs 2 n 3 started to flood, but decided to press ahead by turning of the fuel tap.
Even with hand over carbs she wouldnt fire up - strange as he was running on teh old knackered set.
So I suppose will have to remove them again
and try and find out why they are flooding and see if I can find out why it wont start or even appear to be trying.
But that is for another day!
