Good Morning Folks.
Lynne and Michael have been working bloody hard the last few weeks, to get our garden in some sort of decent order ready to Timothy's 10 years of passing and his 38th Birthday barbie celebration on his birthday.
Altho I have not been invited, asked or involved in anyway, today I just could not stay in the house.
So I wandered around the garden to see, what jobs I may be able to do or order things in for or try n find a general handyman to do the work before Timothy's Birthday.
Altho my mind still does not allow me to concentrate on anything for more than a few minutes, today over several attempts, I think I see a few small plans emerging That will help Lynne and Michael and hopefully make the day, just that bit better for everybody.
Today's Timothy Tune is just below this mumbling, so please press play and enjoy the update.
As usual you can leave comments below in the blog area, I try to reply within 24 hours.
Outside the Blue shed. A while back I laid these slabs to try n stop more damage to the bottom of the blue shed and to provide a patio area, but as you can see I never finished it....
The edge of what is left of our lawn.
The weed we are unable to destroy and if we do not keep it cut right back it takes over everything and kills it.
But we have found that with a real thick plastic membrane and sand under the slabs, we cane control the weed and generally its a lot easier to keep looking tidy.
A fair while back ( I cannot remember how or when, we could not get into the blue shed, as the frame? had dropped or something, so we removed the slabs so we could dig out the earth under the shed n slabs, in an effort to lower the shed in the middle.
I carried out this work over a few months, as my health allowed and eventually managed to get the shed floor joist sitting a lot straighter, but I found that the frame floor timbers were rotten.
At some stage soon, I am somehow gonna have to get in there and clear everything out and dismantle the shed and burn it, as it's beyond repair and is now surplus to requirements.
And a nice plus the slabbed area under the shed will become usable again :) :)
Whats left of the slabs, needs all lifting, digging out and levelling, before relaying lined up with the slabs we have laid at the side of the blue shed.
This job I am hoping to get done as soon as I can get a handyman (as my one cannot fit me in this year he is booked solid!)
As it impossible for me to use me zimmer frame, which forces me to use my walking sticks, which I am not stable using these days...
Slabs here ready, I cannot remember when I brought them, but probably a decade or so ago!
Also you can see some of the pat slabs, that I never got laid back down.
Fingers crossed we can get this all sorted and at the same time make this part of the garden a lot more friendlier for me to use, as well as making the garden look a lot better...
Timothy's Corner has become very neglected as I generally not been well enough to keep it tidy and finish it!.
The fence panel that was lost in the gales last winter will be replaced next week, which will make Tim's corner look a lot better.
The bench needs some minor repairs, sanding back n painting and a general clean n tidy up. - hopefully ready to be used once again & before Tim's Birthday.
The area in front of the old fence panels needs digging up and we have some plum, cherry and apple trees to plant there.
Tim would love that.
This area between Timothy's Corner, the brown shed and what will become part of the workshop access, needs a real good tidy up. Lynne and Michael have worked wonders
de-weeding it and have started to burn the nettles and what ever the weed is, everytime they go into the garden.
A lot of the rotten wood that have stood up behind the brown shed next to the fire barrel..
I had a long rest here sat on the bench and an idea has come to mind, Just need to see if Lynne and Michael can do it or we gotta get someone in to do it.
The entrance to Tim's Corner, again not finished, but once everything is sorted and we have created steps along the front entrance.
The entrance, I just need to finish and get it and the plant pots ready for paint.
Not only will it tidy this area up, but make Tim's Corner accessible to me once again.
This area will take a lotta sorting as some of the old tree stumps are buried underneath. and in all honesty could do with being lowered some 10 inches ready to be slabbed over, I have recently found rough plans I did a long time ago and it would be nice to see it all done...
This side of the area again need sorting but there are deffo plans that have been sorted for some 15 plus years.
I need to empty the brown shed entirely as it is only being held up by the bench we built in and the contents, The shed can then be pulled down and burnt.
This area I will buy Lynne a green house for her to use, which will help break up the garden still but this time we be able to see thru the green house....
The missing panel will be replaced at the same time as the one in Tim's corner, which will give us a lot of our privacy back.
the fence panel will be broken up and burnt.
The Decking, I need to see whats good or bad, if enough left I need to clear the cesspit area and get the raised decking in place !!
That's it for the garden today, nothing physical done, as expected, but a lotta plans we just need to get started on..
So after sitting in the sun and resting its on to the next job, Fingers crossed it seems as if I might be gonna have a real good day for a change....
