Hi Folks... But of an unexpected break yesterday as I slept the day off !!
So today, we get back to the conversion.
We are hoping to get a large amount done today, as Lynne is with me, so progress should be steady as she has an impact on me, that keeps me going even when I am not well.
But first it's time open open yesterday deliveries and see what has arrived.
Well that was the plan until my mind n body decided it did not want to co-operate!.
So carefully crawled up the stairs and just made it to bed.
That was were I stayed for 3 hours, and I came back down a better person that had gone up the stairs.
Finally we get outside and in the back of the transit around 3pmish.....
The new Genuine Ford Fuel Filter and Housing unit has arrived, earlier than expected.
But we are happy it is here ready for Matt on Monday, to install.
Let us just hope Matt was right and it is this that is faulty.
These air vents are for the fridge/freezer/table unit, we are in the process of making now.
Again we was not expecting these till next week, but will make cutting the holes a lot easier this way as they can be cut out on the flat before screwing to the framework.
Brought this antenna for the transit, so we can listen to the radio.
I was not looking to buy just yet as wanted to get the engine up n running first.
But at less than a fiver, I clicked on buy it now button.
Again has arrived earlier than expected, and will get it on the roof, once we have the roof rack fitted.
Our first job of the day is to finish the front panel for the Fridge/Freezer/Table unit.
Unfortunately all sides are different, so it is build one side at a time.
But today, just the front will be done.
We screw all the batons together, but getting them square was bloody hard, as when square it would not fit snugly against the bed.
We need to make some alterations to the 2x1 baton,
The frame is about 1/4" away from the frame.
So we mark up 3/4" and then undo the screws, so we can make the adjustments.
and we screw the baton back in place.
It will need to be sanded straight before final assemby & paint.
But for now we need to make sure it fits and that the fridge freeze has space left between it and the baton.
we cut this 3mm ply board outside!
A big mistake as the wind was stronger than we thought, but as no room in the transit.
we have offered it up in place, as we still have some alterations to make, before it is ready to be attached to the side of the transit.
Unfortunately, I have had another accident, so we decided we would go indoors and have tea at the same time.
Hopefully getting back out later on.
Jobs to be done list !
I am restarting this list, as it proved popular before, and it helped to keep me focused on teh jobs started that were either waiting to be finished or were waiting on other items/jobs before they could be completed.
