Hi Folks.
I need some break periods from the boredom of sorting and listing items on eBay!.
So I have decided to have a little bit of a tidy up in the living room!
I do try to keep this units top clear, but somehow stuff just gets dumped on it! :( :(
But I need somewhere to paint the picture frames, that Lynne wants doing and I would like to get them done ASAP, as they currently all sat on top of an upturned dining table chair, which is not ideal when you have a young cat around, especially when he goes on his mad 10 mins of running n jumping all over the house.
So it's time to clear all the stuff of it once
again.
Some stuff gets hung up, some gets found a new home for now, and the rest goes into the Trash bag!!
Now it just needs a wash down and when dry, find some cardboard to lay on top of the unit, Then I can get started painting the frames and get them hung back up...
Most of the stuff in front of the unit is waiting for me to sort n list, with some items
that need to go into the transit!.
But not only Do I not have the space to move them into the computer room, currently most of my listing boxes are full, with 1 being over full.
I will try n sort something out later today, to find temp homes for it all, and then sorting and listing after the weekend.
But at least once cleared I can give the carpet some shake n vac and a good hoovering.
That's a spot big enough for me steps to fit in :) :)
The boxes are stacked in the computer room, so access is a little bit on the tight size, but will push me to get them listed all the sooner.
Micky thinks he is helping, but is in fact making me chuckle as well as slowing me down either further.!
Hiding behind the settee, I find a suitable cardboard box, so after splitting it, it's laid out over the unit.
Time for micky to examine it!
and was hilarious when the cardboard slips as he put's his weight on it, but it does not stop him examining all the cardboard! :) :)
The 1st frame, is ready to be dismantled :) :)
This is a complete score sheet and is signed inside :) :)
probably not worth anything, but we like them and they are different.
And are usually a talking point when someone who has never visited before see's them.
Frame 1 is ready for a light sanding and it's 1st of 2 coats of paint.
Very thin coats given as we would like a slightly distressed look, to match the wall
That's the 1st coat on, should be dry in an hour or so.
It looks, Like I missed a bit of sanding, but I will see what it looks like when the paint is dry.
Meanwhile onto the 2nd frame.
This score sheet is also signed :) :)
Again probably worth nothing, but we like them, so they will stay a few years more :) :)
It's time to remove the back, Score sheet & Glass and a light sand down
This one seems to have covered better, so may only get 1 coat of paint, but again I will wait to see what it is like when the paint is dry.
Back into the Computer room, for more listing of small items..
Time for these 2 frames for there 2nd coat.
Which has covered batter than I thought it would.
So now gotta wait a couple of hours to dry and then I can clean the glass and reassemble them and get them back up on the wall :) :)
Probably only gonna get another 2-4 done today, but that does not matter, as it's all gonna look really nice when it is done.
