Hi Folks.
today has been another productive day down the workshop working on Tim.
Long may this continue to be, as I try my hardest to get Tim as far as possible for his birthday on 1st Oct.
In my mind, it would be awesome If I could get Tim fired up for the 1st time on his 38th birthday, but as the days goes by, and I struggle to get the final dry build complete, I know this is gonna need the help of some friends.
But those friends are absent, and do not show any interest in helping me out, or in what I have become, since I have stopped taking the meds.
Maybe I have said something that's upset them, I do not know.
But I always thought they would have the balls to come and see me and talk to me, to see if they could understand what I was trying to say!
Well fool me.......................
Right let's forget them as today, finds me somewhat jaded and in all honesty, I just needed to get out of this bloody house, Lynne is fuck now's were and I am not convince he will be coming back.
So a long communion with Tim will hopefully help to pull me back from the brink of breaking my promise to Lynne and just ending it all now...
Just below this text is another of Timothy's fav tunes,
as usual turn up the volume to the max and get your air guitar out and lubricate your voice.
and let go whilst you peruse today's Timothy update..................
Also do not forget to leave your comment's in the blog below, or if you wish continue to contact me via PM on face book or email. As usual I will always reply to you as soon as I can.
Have found this bolt at bottom of a box.
Is it long enough for the girder rocker arms ??

Not really, but it will do for now.
Will make a note, as I know somewhere I have the bolts that Chrissie at (MazChopz) done for me, or if I cannot find them will order some new ones for the final build.
These are the final rocker arms, i still need to do a bit of work on them .
But almost ready for spraying.
I suspect we may go gold paint on these :) :)

I think its time to get the handle bars of the floor, as they are in my way!
So I stand them on one of my chairs in the workshop, so I can remove the bolts.
Luckily the paintwork still looks as good as the day it was done.
But will be inspected when the final dry build gets dismantled ready for prep n spraying.

Time to install the handle bars !
Only to find I have this yoke upside down :( :(
So out comes the socket I found when I started to put the front end together.

and its the right way up.
I am missing the washer, not sure were that has gone.
and will finally have a domed not added to finish things off.
Sadly the paint job has got damaged, and will need to be re done when I am ready...
Slow but surely I get the 2 bolts done up each in around 10 turns of the spanner.
I am stating to realise just how week I am as my arm muscles are killing me, but when they are finger tight.
I just sit back n chill for a while, to let them recover.

As Maz n Lynne will testify, due to the weight of the handle bars and the angle of the stem, not an easy feet with help, let alone on my own.

The stainless washer you can see between the bars n yoke, on final build will be replaced by a thin strip of rubber. mainly to protect the paint, but because something is telling me to do so!
I am still missing this bolt !
Fingers crossed it turns up as at the moment I do not have any others in my Nut n bolts tubs to use...

The rear shocks, come out of the tray next.
It looks as if the that been matt sprayed at some point!.
So when ready they will need stripping along with the front springs and sprayed to match each other..
BUT !!!
I still may buy a brand new set and had them built to my specs, as we are over the moon with the ones we had built for Vincent.
Its just the £400.00 that we gotta find that hurts.
But for now altho different as these would be chrome, would save on paint costs and could be done at a later date...
Food for thought.
I keep knocking my legs against the swing arm!
I have had enough time to install it into Times Frame.

One of the boxes, that I am finding a lot of smaller items n bits from.
Is pushed out of the way, with me walking stick.
Now there is a story about the design, that will be told, after I have had a chat with Maz, so I can get all the details as my memory is not good these days.
in fact all the items built that are inspired by Timothy, will have there stories told later on......

1st job, is to remove the swing arm bolt.
I just do not have the strength in my arms to do it normally, so I am forced to gently tap it out with a small persuader and drift.
The swing arm bolt is wiped down clean and given a bit of ep90 oil to stop it sticking for now..

I get the swing arm roughly into place on the floor.
But I just am not strong enough to lift it!
So my trusty walking sticks come in handy to help me to work the swing arm finally into place.
Now with lack of strength I have, it's time to sit back n think.

But I hit a problem!!!
The swing arm refuses to slot in its home..
We know it did fit, as its been together before ??
So I sit back in me wicker chair and try n think things thru.
I know Maz is not available to talk at the moment, hopefully I will catch her later on...
Meanwhile a plan starts to form, I will put the shocks in to help me as I cannot lift the swing arm, let alone wriggle it in place....
So I start to put them to Timothy's Frame.

the odd nut n washer of the right size found in here!
But only 1 bolt and 1 spacer !! :( :(
Luckily a while back during earlier stages of Tim's build I brought a large packet of stainless steel washers to make up temp spacers !
So that making spacers on the lathe would be much easier.
Unfortunately I have now sold my Lathe, so will almost certainly have to find someone to make up proper spacers for me.

Luckily I have some new and used stainless bolts, washers n nuts in my tubs.
Right onto the left side and altho I have some washers, My shaking hands just spill them all over the workshop floor !
So I just leave it for now and hope someone calls round at some stage and will help me sort.
There are a few small jobs that are like this, and altho very frustrating for me, there is nothing I can do..

The shocks are now hanging in place, all nuts n bolts are finger tight for now.
As for final build they do not need to be tightened up, plus I will be using Lock Nuts on final build.
The swing arm is moved into place with me walking stick and also used to raise the swing arm enough for me to get a both thru one of the holes...
and the other bolt soon follows.
No nuts are used at this stage in case my idea does not work!

And still, no matter were I try the swing arm refuses to seat in its home!!
Maz Help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right side close up.
i am trying to find out why the swing arm, refuses to fit....

The other side..
It seams to be the bushes ??
Before I go any further time to chat with Maz later on, as I have no wish to damage anything.
Time to move on,
i just cannot waist the time any more until I get some advise.
So next Before I can raise the frame higher, so that I will be able to install the wheels exhaust and other stuff,
I need to get this scissor bench level and safe to strap to the frame!
For safety reasons.
But I just cannot tilt the frame, let alone tilt and try n move this stand !!!

So I sit back n start to think
and then I notice the left chain adjuster !
And I gaze to the right side of the swing arm
and its missing!
I search all the boxes n bags, but it's not there.
Another thing to chat about with Maz as I am sure that Maz n Chrissie are not able to machine up another one.
Shame I refuse to speak to Kev as we are not on speaking or friendly terms over the unfinished work I have paid for !!

That sit for today as new handy man has just stuck his head in the workshop
( see today's Home n garden for that update)
