Double Bonus job, to have worked out and cut the bed frame & have it mounted!

I have drilled the rear hole for the 10mm threaded bar, and I start to pull it together.
Lynne arrives just in time, to use a spanner on the nut that goes on the threaded bar in the grill..

They will need to be removed, when we put the grill sheeting back into the unit.

I have finished in here for now, so whilst Lynne is painting the bathroom wall.

We are hoping 3 coats of paint will cover the 3mm ply up nicely.

I measure up the bed head n foot rails, to make sure the bed is level, before I start to screw and bolt it into place.

The spacer 9mm ply board, needs about 2mm removed from the back and bottom

Finally the spacer board is sitting square, with some help from Lynne.
And I start to screw the bed side to the kitchen unit.

I have to dismantle the head end of the bed framework, as it does not quiet fit properly.

Now the bed head rail is sitting properly,
I start to rebuild the wheel arch frame again, this time using some different lengths of 3x2

This L shaped framework is screwed into the framework.
(I still have to screw thru from the cabinet side to make it solid.

It is starting to come together at a steady pace

Lynne has been busy giving the bathroom wall 2 coats of paint

I will be cutting the threaded bar to length, once the paint has dried and we have made the sink shelf and support brackets

It has certainly made the bathroom a lot brighter and pleasant,
Hopefully this will spur me on to get the bathroom finished.

Pill Alarm is going and I need to wash n change clothes, so we head indoors for 30 mins.,
and have a nice brew at the same time...

Just the top cross member to screw into place and this part is done and ready for painting.

So now we finally get to start screwing down the support braces for the beds base.

The 1st 2 are 6" apart, as this is were most of the were n tear will be with getting in and out of bed.

As these beams are larger than the 3x2 we were using, they are too tall to site upright,

So the will sit flat, After screwing these 2 supports in place I sat in the middle and raised my legs, and the did not even move a little bit.

And we have the upright supports still to add yet.
But that will be later on, as I have to make sure we have the room we need for the items that will be stored under the bed.

All in all a good steady day, and you can definitely see what we have done today!.

I am hoping that I can get out in the transit again tomorrow, as we have pencilled in Cutting the old MDF and screwing it in place and if all goes well, hopefully the mattress will finally be on the new bed ??.
