Good Morning Folks.
Finally we manged to get down the workshop and potter around CBRTIM.
If you remember the lower tank holes would not line up.
So first job was to remove the bolts that we had managed to get in last time we were in the workshop.

But first we had to find some bungee straps, as the tank was too heavy for Lynne to hold.
Lynne said there were 2 bungees in the kitchen, which she fetched.
And we soon had the lower tank held in place.

mmmmm this lower front tank mount does not line up with the hole Kev drilled.

Nor does the other front mount and nut line up, altho closer.

We could not find the rubber mounts, that Kev used, luckily had some new ones, altho thinner.
So we doubled the rubber mount washers up.
Will look on Ebay to see if we can find 20x thicker rubber washers. (always like to order more than I need, so we have some spares.

Altho the front to holes and tank mounts do not line up properly, The bolts do screw up easily.
I need to nip into Town & County on Monday and buy 20 6x10 & 6x15 SS bolts.
As I have run out or more likely cannot find them.
Need thicker rubber washers as all the washers still loose when bolt is done up tight...

Now it's time to use longer bolts than I need to do up the rear lower tank mount bolts.

We have to wriggle the tank around to get things to line up.
And we can see they not 100% straight. But why I buy some shorter bolts on Monday will swap the bolts over as these are way to long.

we do each nut n bolt up evenly so as to not stress the tank.
and we soon have the nuts n bolts with washers all done up tightly.
But we notice that in a few places the lower petrol tank is tight against the frame,
so we will have to add more spacers / rubber washers to see if we can cure that issue.

MMMM not sure who we are gonna secure the filler neck in place.
I will think on it.
But it's soon apparent we are gonna have to drop the lower petrol tank again.
So we can finish getting it ready for prep and spraying.
All the grey stuff will have to come off!

For some unknown reason Kev did not drill the sender mount bolt holes in the tank.
and as there is not enough room, to mount the sender unit we are gonna have to remove the petrol tank, hopefully for the last time on the dry build.

Think I have found a way to secure the lower tanks sender & filler parts.
Will have a quick chat with Maz Edwards (Mazchops) to confirm will be ok as there is not a lot of metal left on the filler mount holes.
