Hi Folks.... - After Yesterday's Progress
I am hoping for a similar day today.
But before we even start, things go horribly wrong :( :(
It is around 1pm before I am stable enough to walk to the transit.
But my Eyesight is really bad, plus I still keep zoning in and out.
So apart from helping Lynne move some wood around, I am forced to just sit n watch her.....
We have fallen a little bit behind again, but all being well, by next weekend (as need Lynne & Michael's help with moving the MDF and cutting it to fit the bed and to bring the mattress down stairs from the Spare Room.
But I still have plenty of things I can be getting on with!,
Subject to my health.
Wednesday All being well with Kev, we will finally be getting the roof rack and under the floor water tanks installed :) :)
I am just hoping that I am well enough to drive, I will be phoning Kev up on Tuesday, to make sure he is well enough to do the work.....
Sadly it is now official, that I will not be going to Scotland at the end of March!.
Not only are we so far behind, that we do not even have the basic electrics installed, bathroom & Kitchen ready, let alone the many other jobs.
But also in Hospital on 13th April, and am not sure just what is happening.
We are hoping to get at least a week away when Lynne is on school holidays. But at best it will have to be at a caravan site!,
So many of the jobs, over the next few weeks, will be with that in mind....

Double Bonus job, to have worked out and cut the bed frame & have it mounted!
I am still Zoning in and out, and not with it generally, So I am not able to do much today.
But Lynne wanted to get as much of the under and around the bed area painted as much as she could, so I went out with here for moral support, and to give a bit of a hand when required.
So we start with moving as many items as we could from the rear doors and from under the bed area.
Not only will this make Lynne's painting be made easier, but I will need to open both rear doors to finish building the rear bed frame, and to make getting the mattress in easier.
I hide a lot of the off-cuts between the 2 large ply sheets for now
and store as much as I could in the bathroom (again)
Lynne, is giving the foot board panel it's 2nd coat of paint.
Then starts to give the storage area over the passenger rear wheel arch it's 1st coat of paint.
and then proceeds to give the bed framework it's 1st coat of paint.
Whilst the passenger side of the bed frame work dries.
Lynne moves to give the head board it's 1st coat of paint.
I see Lynne struggling to paint with these 4x2 batons in her way, So I move them...
That is a lot better, Lynne has no issues now..
Lynne is giving the drivers side storage area and boards above the rear wheel arch it's 1st coat of paint.
The passenger rear wheel arch, looks so much brighter now.
Everything below the bed, will only get 2 coats of paint.
As it is only there to protect the wood and to make the underside a lot brighter.
Some parts are still on there 1st coat, as Lynne gets the unpainted parts painted so everything is ready for it's 2nd coat of paint.
It is amazing just how much brighter and cheerful the 3mm panels look, with some paint on them..
Look at just how dull the wood panels are unpainted.....
as usual we have Planet Rock playing on the Kindle.
Everything on the drivers side is getting it's 1st coat of paint..............
and as Lynne paints, it is already starting to make this side look so much better.........
We have finally used up the small paint tin of White, and we are surprised at just how much we have got painted from it.
But now it is time, to open the big trade silk paint plastic drum.
(which cost £1.00 less that the small wilco's paint pot......)
he 3mm panel boards are soaking up the paint !
We may have to give this side 3 or 4 coats of paint to get good coverage...............
The head board get's it's 2nd coat of paint..
Lynne is starting to flag now, I am not surprised, she has done a good amount of painting the last 4 hour ................
I have still to refit the last baton in place on this side, but it does not stop Lynne from painting
Drivers side storage rack above the wheel arch is nearly completed it's 1st coat of paint..
The Foot Board gets hopefully it's last coat of paint, but we will not know until it dries..
And before we leave for the day, we lay the last 2 bed supports in place, to be screwed down hopefully tomorrow.
Lots of viable progress today !
Unfortunately Lynne was working pretty much on her own, as I was all over the place, but I was glad we went out into the transit and got on with the painting.
Even Lynne said how much better she feels with getting off the sofa and getting the painting done.
we still have plenty of painting to get on with under the bead area, as everything needs a second coat of paint.
But the best part of the day, was at the end when we laid out the last 2 bed supports as it finally is starting to look like a bed now :) :)
Will I be well enough to go back out into the Transit tomorrow, as I will be on my own, we will just have to wait n see..
