Hi Folks...........

When I am on enforced breaks I like to get some small jobs done, more just for a change and to help me get over the frustration of not being able to control my body properly.

So again today, Lynne's Computer, is going to have some more work done on it.

At xmas I treated here to a 1TB M.2 module, that I will get installed today.
Lynne has decided that as all here school work now works in Ubuntu, she wants me to install that as well.

So fingers crossed I can get here computer to the stage where I am close to putting the covers back on it, or actually have them fitted.

She does have a nice set of Speakers that belonged to the disco test bench, for when I was testing things out and did not want to drag out the big speakers.
So I am hoping I can get here computer to sound really nice as well.

But that means I have to continue to clear out the computer room (more about that in the Computer Rooms next update).

Lynne's new Keyboard n Mouse arrived late last night. I just did not have enough funds to go wireless, but she likes them and that is what matters....

Right let's crack on with Lynne's Computer.
I need to remove my faulty FireCuda, as Lynne's computer has allowed me to run the tests that Seagate wanted.

I know it is the wrong box, but here is Lynne's new M2 module
And it is soon screwed into place.

I unplug and remove thsi harddrive cage, as I do not want WinJows to feck with the Ubuntu installation, or create a duel boot menu.

Michael's old Harddrive, will be removed, destructive formatted and then listed on eBAy - in teh next day or so

Whilst Lynne's computer is on my stool, I decide to add all the front panel wiring

Whilst Lynne's computer in having Ubuntu 22.04 installed, I start to have a bit of a tidy up and see what I can list later on today.

We no longer need this, so it will be listed later to start on Saturday.

This will also be listed and will start on Saturday
(32 & 64 bit versions)

As I am now using Lynne's New Keyboard, this one can be listed to start on Saturday.

As I am now using Lynne's New Mouse, this one can be listed to start on Saturday.

Ubuntu's virtual desktop has now installed, so I click on the install icon.
Answer 3 questions, tick 2 box's, add computer name and password and click on ok and walk away,
and get the washing up done....

Dam, I think I had something like this with my computer, but I cannot remember what or what I did, time to hit my photo Albums on my website.

Well that helped a bit, still got the top 2 lines to resolve.

The recovering journal, was me, tweaking Lynne's Ubuntu to make it quicker and I put a comer, where a full stop should have been, so that one is solved as well..

The bottom line is meant to be there, it is something to do with the M2 modules.
If you remove the M2 stick the message goes away, so I am not bothered about that one.

I spend another 20 odd mins just making changes and tweaking Ubuntu and it is getting very rapid now.
But there is still room to make it even faster.

All bar some final tweaks, and finding a few screws is now ready to have its covers installed.

I would like to have some extra USB ports fitted, I will go thru my computer spares drawers to see if I have any, but there is 1 free USB port so ok at the moment.
