Hi Everyone.

today started out to be a chilled day, but very soon turned into a very good day working on my computer.
Yep the refurb is still not finished, either cant be bothered, slept the day away or just using it. Until I had a reason to turn it off.
Today was that day, for once Ubuntu did a core update and needed to reboot, an ideal time to get more work done.

My Hard Drive of choice were ever possible. I used to install these in servers and there reliability was always 2nd to none.

Right pic all nice n clean now....

And have used them as often as I could ever since.
Seagate's warranty returns is the best I have used and turn around extremely quick.
Over the last 30 years have only had 2 Seagate HHD's fail me !...

already have 10 HHDs,SSDs & 2 M3 cards installed.
Today I am hoping to have another 4 HDD's installed :) :)
Altho not tying cables yet, just in case I have to remove everything, You can see some of the mess caused by using the cheaper cables.

Sata power cable that plugs into the power supply.

In slides the next 4 hhd drives. I notice that I did not clean the hard drives very well.

I can't wait ti tidy up those cables!

Will have to use these SATA cables that came with expansion card.
As I do not have any of my preferred SATA cables at the moment.

Damm only 1 of the 4 HDD's is working.
So I check all the cables, no change.

These are my power cables of choice these days, nice neat and allows for better air flow in teh case.

A right mess, that once the power supply fan arrives will all be tied back, along the framework of the case..

The front of my case, never sat properly, now I know why!
Luckily I have some different HDD mounts.

I plug in the 4 Sata cables into the last remaining slots on the sata expansion card.

This hard drive is fully working, did a test on it and comes back no failures.
The case the HDD is in only 1 hole lines up with my case slots, so I remove it and use some metal mounts instead.

Now ready to be put back in my case, and be tested.
But before turning on.....

I test the next Seagate HDD and all tests well again a test is run with no failures.
Again I change the mounts.

in goes the 2nd of the 4 HHDs

What a mess, shouldn't be long now till the replacement Power supply fan arrives and I can start to tidy things up a lot.

The 3rd HDD is hooked up and computer switched on. Immediately to boot process has slowed right down and an error is thrown up.

Altho this HDD registers as it should it will not open, it just sits there till it times out.
So its time to dig out R-Studio and see if we can find out whats wrong and if possible, recover any files.

This will take a while, I will update as we go.....

Either way I cannot turn off the computer until R-Studio has finished, so will be busy finding and sorting photo albums and adding them to the new website.

These 2 holders will be on ebay shortly, with profit going into my Computer fund pot...
