Today is a mixture of Jobs, some to repair, service, clean up to get ready for sale.
CBRTIM is a money pit, or seams it at times, so any funds I can get by selling off items I will not be using is a real bonus.
On the plus side, it does help to clear out my Workshop freeing up valuable space.
This exhaust was from The red n White Honda Big One we owned.
And did think of Putting it on Timothy, But all the angles are wrong..
But is now surplus to requirements.
I was gonna paint the whole exhaust Black !
But once I cleaned the chrome area that is left it was in very good condition.
Painted protector is bolted in place.
Paint is finally dry
And screwed back in place.
Looking pretty good.
Considering just how rough this exhaust was
It's coming up real nice :) :)
Waiting for the black to dry.
Another coat of Exhaust black and then use these picks and get it on ebay...
HONDA BIG ONE GENERATOR COVER, ALL PAINTED UP :) :)
READY TO BE USED on CBRTIM.
Need Some Spacers !
Found some Aluminium tubing that's just too wide !
So excuse to do some work on me lathe :) :)
the washers are the correct diameter
so just gotta work about 1/2mm and then use Emery cloth to smooth it all :) :)
need to bore out the inner hole
so the stainless the slides inside :) :)
that's 2 done :) :)
Bloody hands well shaky
and it shows by just how ruff this spacer is :( :(
Time to stop using the lathe and move onto something else.
Time to clean the lathe
That looks better
now to make sure i get all the fine swarf from the beds
Ignition coil with spacer fitted :) :)
cut down some threaded bar to the correct lengths required :) :)
Still work to do, need to find in sleeve that fits the bolt and the internal size of the spacer.
Yes I could buy them, but it's much more satisfying to make them :) :)
Slowly and shortly this little project starts to take shape.
And it all Fits a treat :) :)
on final build, the threaded bar will be cut back and a dome nut used :) :)
Even tho it wont be seen,
I will know they are there :) :)
Using engineers chalk I start to measure up were I want the hole drilled
I mark up were I want to drill on the opposite side of the square tube.
Time to do some more work on the frame engine section
I don't know what a certain person did !
But this end is not only bent inwards slightly but also twisted as well :( :(
