With other stuff to do this morning it was around 2pm before I got down the workshop.
First job is to plane this bit of wood with the electric plane
OOOOOPPPPPs
well its been about 5 years since I last used the planer.
but it still looks better than before.
Next onto the new door frame top
Just a light planing to get the two bits of wood smooth and as square as I can
Glad I not using an old fashioned plane
and considering its been stood outside for 6 years or so
John Hayward - nice piece of saple mahogany mate..... bit of work and it would make i nice didley bow
Its hard to think just how rough this wood was
Now onto the sides of the door framework
Not too much to do and have the plane on lowest setting
I am now ready to start on the door frame,
when Strawbs is able to come over and give me a hand.
The new workshop hoover
Gets a workout
Time to move these bits of wood
Up goes the shelf brackets
Cant really get into the brown shed at the moment,
but this bit of shelving was not too far in the shed,
its 2" wider than I really wanted but it will do
All screwed up and ready to be filled up
Was gonna mount this light, but its too bloody long
The others are also too long so gonna have to buy some 4 foot ones
So I decide to see just what i can put on the shelf, unfortunately these are to big
But this box of stuff that's sat on top of the Big One looks a good candidate
Broken box in bin liner, and a cheap plastic bin liner partially filled,
still room for more rubbish tho
Starting to fill up the shelf, probably none of it will live here permanently,
As at moment just trying to get stuff of the floor.
Another rubbish back now has a crushed up empty box in it and just waiting to be filled up
The Big Ones starting to become clear
This box of bits fits in here a treat
the 2 cans of oil and antifreeze fit in here for now
This socket only has one that's working and would like to remove it, but
its wired into the back of the cooker socket
So I suppose I better start on the wiring
This gang - will be for the 24 hour live feed - just took pick, so i get wires the right way around
mmmmmm
this box will stay here for a bit
These bits were laying on top of The Big One, so in here they nice n safe
The Big One, is even more exposed now,
am thinking about ways to clear other stuff around it,
so i can pull it out and finish panelling behind it.
This extension lead, will be cut up and used as main wiring for workshop
This 2 x 1 gets a load of cup hooks screwed into it
This end just dont line up, so i cut the offending bits off
but the baton behind is now in the way, so gonna have to carefully pry down the roof panelling, so i can get in and sort it out job for another day
the 2x1 with cup hooks gets screwed into this channel
and the main socket wire gets pulled thru
I found these bits of trunking in the brown shed
and soon have some screwed above the door
and feed the wire thru
labeled, so i dont forget what its for!
I wire into the rcd unit the socket wire
Then i decide that i want a double socket in the ceiling
and a 2nd one.
Will remove the batton next time im down the shed.
Its neary 7.30pm and my chest is very tight so gonna call it a day and after tea have a nice hot bath and hopefully a early nite
