Hi Folks.... - Another week starts on the conversion.
This weekends SALES were really bad and have left no money in the bank to buy items that I be badly needing by the end of this month.
With Illness on Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday, making a huge impact of items not completed or in some cases started.
So I am hoping that this week will be a good week, altho I am really gonna miss not Having Lynne around.
It always seems, just as we get used to working together again and start to make real progress her work has to come and stop this progress.
But I just keep trying to say to myself it's only for a couple of years more, and I need to re-find myself, so our retirement can be as active and fun as possible.

Double Bonus job, to have worked out and cut the bed frame & have it mounted!
Today ended up, spending most of it on the computer, after I realised,
the mattress I wanted to use, just will not fit by 1" !
So after taking the measurements,
I hit google and could find nothing at the size we needed.
Eventually I found www.shortybeds.co.uk and they make mattresses to order any size....
I fired of some questions and got a very quick reply.
As I do not have the funds at the moment, I went into the transit and cut an off-cut of 3mm ply and it fits with space to spare, just over an inch.
Now I need a really good week/weekend on the eBay front so I can order the mattress. what surprised me was just how cheap it is to have a mattress made, compared to off the shelf ones.
It is a shame that a previous owner has cut this board down!
My only thought must be he damaged it somehow.
So I look at it and wait for an idea to come to mind, I could waste a new sheet of 3mm ply, but that is needed elsewhere!
I do not have a long enough old 3mm board laying around
and then an idea hit me.
It's not gonna be seen, so why not just add a strip to the top ??
So whilst I let that idea form in my mind
This off-cut of 3mm ply is the same size as the mattress we previously used when djing or we went away, and it was not a cheap mattress and I used to get some serious comfortable sleep on it.
But as you can see it is just to long :( :(
So I cut the 3mm off-cut down to the size of the Short King Size mattress (that I will have made as soon as funds allow)
And it fits nicely, in fact there is room to spare, so now I may not have to skimp on insulation at the 2 sides where the mattress will sit close to...
I even get the tape measure to stay on teh 3mm ply without it falling down :) :)
This old 3mm ply board, was from the drivers side frame that is now were the bathroom & kitchen window now resides, So it is not any use to me as it is, so I mark the board & get teh jigsaw out
The 3mm ply, that will join this board at the top, just fits in most places, but will need a little sanding to make it sit flush.
But before I can do that I have to make the bottom 3mm ply sheet secure.
So the holes line up, and I just need to enlarge them to 6.5mm and in goes a panel board clip.
Then Lynne has popped in and asked how things are going so I update her, and we go in for a nice cuppa.
