21st September 2019 - Life n grimes of Mr Creature

Morning Everyone :) :)

Just no get up n go juice today,

so spent the morning and early afternoon in bed,

Am reading a book and falling asleep :( :(

But around 3pm my mood changed,

so had a lovely hot chocolate and got dressed :) :)

And Lynne n Me went out into the garden :) :)

We don't seem top get much time these days to potter around together, and I really miss it.

But we had a very productive time as well as sitting in Tim's corner for a bit and some other plans for the garden :) :)

The garden looks so much better than it did a few weeks ago,

and I am determined to try my hardest to keep it so ! :) :)

Unfortunately I took a big tumble on Friday and as I wasn't wearing a T-Shirt Lynne spotted the bruises and marks on my back :( :(

Altho strangely It don't appear to be affecting me much, unless I am careless :) :)

As its such a nice day, and its what I want to do Lynne n me pottered around in the garden
With Micky coming to help lift the slabs
1st job today, is to get these slabs of the lawn !

I manage a couple, before I am struggling to breathe and my Knees play up, so I sit on the slabs and have a breather

Just these 2 slabs to go

and they would be the bloody big, heavy ones

Lynne's come out, and we get the large waterproof cover of the washing line

and we fold it up, as its way to big, for its next job

As we are covering Vincent we notice a cricket on the sheet

Surprisingly it didn't disappear like they normally do and stayed around for some 15 mins

With the aid of some old car tyres. Vincent is covered up
Ready for the rain we are supposed to get next week !!

I hope not, as I had planed on jacking the bike up onto stands and get the rear wheel out, ready for its replacement.

Mickey comes out and we finish off moving the slabs, for us.

I got the mower out and started to cut down the nettles.

Lynne started to clear rubble n rubbish that was hiding in the nettles

and its tome for me to cut these suckers down

Lynne pics up all the Onduline off-cuts and puts them back on the spare slabs

Lynne giving me orders

Norton Commando - You need to keep her happy M8.

She suggested that you need to do this and that. It only sounds like orders when we think we are finished with a chore and ready to be done. But we know she is right. So we keep plugging along till the finish.

I finish up with the lawn mower :):)

Norton Commando - Is that a trim style mower that uses trimline to cut ?

Or does it have a steel mower cutting blade under a mower deck ?

Stephen Osborn - metal blade m8

Norton Commando - that mower looks really compact is why I ask. It does a great job.

Stephen Osborn - yes m8 - it is nice n compact and does a lovely job, wasn't the cheapest but the extra money spent can be seen in the cut and hopefully will be around a long time

I have mashed the nettles down to nothing

Lynne's got the strimmer out and is cutting back the bits I cant get too with the mower

and the lawn is now looking loads better

Now we have lost our handy man, there is no way we can afford to do the kitchen roof and extension

So these Rafters will be going on Facebook selling sites in a few days

We would rather have the money back in our house repair/maintenance pot

Fingers crossed they should sell quickly.
I need to research how much they go for
And would be nice to have our path back

Lynne's using the long handled shears to cut back the nettles in front of Tim's Corner

Still a ways to go, but it needs to be done, not only to tidy it up

But So I can get the side wall built and step(s) made, hopefully before winter

Norton Commando - Looks great

Stephen Osborn - Cheers m8

Alfred Till - Do a ramp just a thort lol

Stephen Osborn - We may include a ramp, we will have to wait n see
