Hi Folks.....
Bloody freezing out there at 9am this morning!
I have put the new charger onto Vincent's Battery, and it is saying it is nearly at full charge, so it looks like my old battery charger is charging, just the gauge is not working!.
But I have decided to leave it on charge with the new charger, as in this cold weather it will not hurt the battery and the new charger has an auto cutout on the Gel settings so that is a bonus.
I did try n start Vincent, but the front pot is again full of fuel, so when it warms up a bit, I will go into Vincent's shed and get the spark plug spanner out and blow out all the fuel and then try and start it up and leave it running for a while.
Hopefully tomorrow the postie will bring me a new rocker cover gasket, as I seemed to have lost one!.
And if the frost has gone and I am up to it take him out for a short run, just have to remember to feather the throttle.
And then phone up and get him booked in for the jobs we need doing before we get it ready to sell in March.
But I am gonna try n ride him as often as I can, once he comes back from the shop, to keep him running and everything nicely running as it should.
Right of to do another job, and will come back after lunch.
Out comes the plug and I try and spin Vincent over, but I get nothing when I hit the Button.
Battery is fully charged, S oI undo the throttle assembly to see if any water has got inside, but it is as dry as a million
year old bone...
Then I go inside and read the manual ! My bloody memory if I could remember I would kill it !!
Pull the clutch lever in, hit the start button fires up 1st time!!
Ok Vincent is a bit tappy, but when they remove the tank n carbs they will adjust the cam chain and adjust the tappets.
Now I have Vincent running again (altho I know he has partially blocked jets and probably fuel pipes inside the carbs I do not want to get rid of him now..)
But i need the money, so sadly he will have to go....................
50% of which will be going to replace some of CBRTIM's funds I have spent for the conversion.
We would both dearly love to see Maz's face when we pull up at here house on him...
