Before going down the workshop today,
I had to finish processing Ebay sales and then ship them out to courier and post office.
As I didn't get up to nearly 10am ( Lazy sod) it meant I didn't get down workshop till midday.
So first job today is to wire up the mains into the workshop thru the RCD box!.
Ah well its too bloody late now to back out
I wired it all up, as it should be,
put the plug in and turned it on in the brown shed and nothing!
Tried the trips, but Nada
So for now, as it was starting to get dark and no power in the workshop,
i decided to put a double socket in and wire the incoming mains into that
We have lights ,
well some of them,
as the rest have been disconnected for now
and I have some mains,
via extension leads
( as everything else is connected into the RCD box)
Right this old cooker socket can go, for now,
it will replace the temp double socket as need a 24 hour feed for security battery charging and for pump in cesspit.
So this will be ideal
But for now its put away in one of the boxes to keep it safe.
Some spare 16amp wire, that I am using for all the sockets.
Not sure yet if I need more cable,
but always best to have some
this gang socket is totally knackered only one socket works and that can be temperamental,
will remove and throw it away sometime, but keep the 3 core mains cable
Time to remove this light, i didn't realise just how bright it was until i disconnected it
Time to see if I can find some 2x2 off cuts in the brown shed
found this bit which was only an inch too long,
but without the chop saw its back to the hand saw
and this bit also just needed trimming
I remembered this 2x2 when Michael Osborn and I were tidying up the brown shed
Excess liner - don't really want to cut it just yet,
as I am not sure how I am gonna tidy up this area yet
Liner tacked in place
in goes baton were the roof board meet
Found these bits of fireproof polystyrene in the brown shed
(shame to cut up a large sheet if i can help it)
bit of a patch work, but used a lot of bits that I had laying around
this side is a bit bittier and had to use some gaffa tape to hold it in place
and with Michael Osborns help we cut the lining board and get it screwed to the roof beams
Using some of the hardboard off cuts I start to cover up the mains channel
ok its not pretty but it does the job,
But gives easy access if i need to and once its painted hopefully will look lot better
On goes the first coat
and here
The heaters only on one bar but its still bare chested time in the workshop and the first coat soon dries and it gets its final coat of paint.
Thats it for the workshop today, its chill out, tea and guitar practise before bed
