24th March 2023 - Disco Transit Green Long Wheel base and Hi Roof Conversion

Published on 25 March 2023 at 07:29

Hi Folks.... - Sadly due to Ken's health we have had to pospone today!

I will give him a ring on Monday to see if he is well enought to work.

So after a while of the black dog nipping at my heals, I decided to get of my lazy arse and get into the transit, and do some work.

Now I know I am still not really well enough to be working on the conversion, but I need to shut the black dog up!!

No plans, as I will be resting as much as I can, so anything I can get done today will be a bonus...

Double Bonus job, to have worked out and cut the bed frame & have it mounted!

I need to have a tidy up as I cannot get thru to the bed !

Have finally got the bed frame basically all screwed into place.
Still some painting to do
and some supports to add

I have measured the hole and marked it on the bed front.

But as I am on my own, I will start to screw the bed side board to the frame work and hope that will secure the board enough that id allows for a nice smooth cutting.

After sliding the 2 sheets of ply part way out the side door

I now have clear access all round the hole I have marked up.

I had great issue staying close to the line, as my eyeside kept fading in and out, so plenty of work to square it all up!!

This side seems to be the worse by a long way!!

Time to clean up the edges a bit, so that I can remark straight lines for the planer....

I think the new line is ok, but I think I will leave it and get Lynne to double check it all tomorrow.....
