Hi Folks. - When I managed to get out to the transit Yesterday
Most of the time was spent finishing some of the small jobs, using off-cuts from the Off-cut bag. as it was getting quiet full.
And I want to get stuff of from under the bed, so I can get under there and finish painting.
And then lay the old foam squares we have, They are more than good enough for laying under the bed, and it uses them up and clears more space :) :)
If Lynne and Michael are available, get the mdf boards from the green shed to the transit.
Measure n cut them to fit the new bed frame and lay them down,
and then we to see if our measurements are right by getting the mattress down from the spare bedroom and seeing it it will fit....
All being well I can get to lay down on teh mattress to make sure teh bed is long enough for me.
Also another job to be done poss next weekend is to cut the 3mm 3ply board for celiing part 2,, to be fitted ~ holes cut for the ceiling lights, insulation added, mount holes drilled and put up.
I still need to buy 3 more 3mm 3ply boards, for the rest of teh celing, but just not yet, as I would like to use up as much timber as we have, to make more space to work in.

I am ready now, to start this side......
and the next one is in place......
And the next one is tapped n screwed into place....
And the last edging baton is screwed into place :) :)
Time to hoover the sawdust from these boxes
Ans the 2nd storage box is soon looking a lot better as well.
I then put them ontop of teh bed frame for now.......
Now Gay Gordon starts to suck away very happily.................
and we soon have all the loose of-cuts picked up, so Gay Gordon can carry on sucking
Gay Gordon got more than he bargained for and started to choke!
It took me over 10 mins to unblock his pipe :) :) :) :)
Gay Gorden gets busy sucking again :) :)
as we soon have the floor totatly sucked up and looking real good.
(we the parts we could get to).
Another bloody waterworks accident ! so indoors I go to have a wash a fresh towel and trousers.
Mat as well wait as only 15 mins to NOON, when I have to take another doesage of meds............
Gay Gorden is taking a well earned break after cleaning up this arear :) :)
Measurements for the MDF bedboard to be cut too.....
Over the last few days, I have used loads from the Off-Cut Bag...
Now ready to be filled up again..
Lynne n Michael bring the old bed base board, from the green shed and I Start to measure it up ready to cut..
My Tool of choice is Harry the Circular Saw, Now Harry is a visous nast bit of work.!
He spat his safty gaurd away back in the anuls of history and is legendry to those who have lived here, he can also be a very naughty boy!!
So we treat Harry with respect and use very carefully, but even then, he sometimes play his nasty jokes on us!!
After pulling the board around to make sure we can get the circular saw in and making sure we have a clear cut line, underneath,
Today Harry is playing very well and we soon have the first MDF board cut and slid in place.
The 2nd board requires 2 cuts, but it looks as if Harry the Circular saw is just enjoying being used....
And the 2nd board is soon in place.
Lynne takes the MDF off-cuts down to the brown shed, ready to have a garden fire at some stage..
I have srtaed to screw the bed boards in place.
We have for now, put the containers on the boad and Lynne tries the bed for size................
Lynne n Michael have brought the transits mattress back down to teh transit from the spare bedroom.
Not only i there a lot of laughter as they try to get the mattress thru the rear doors, it is also bloody hard,
But Finally we get it it, we fold the matress in half and turn it 90 degrees and it slides into place.
It is extreemly tight fit and we have to manouvour it and hit it along the edges, but finally the matress is in.
After we cover the matress to protect it I climb up and it is just like the home coming of friend you have not seen for 20 odd years.............
Next on our List is to use up the last 2 big sheets of 3-ply.
We re doing this as we need to see what sort of space we are gonna have.
And to use some of teh items currently stored in the bathroom and to get teh bathroom finished..
We are keeping an eye on teh weather temps, we have not had the radiator on since early January. (over the next week or so we will see if we need to use it, if not) then we will give it a wash n clean and get it listed,
as no longer required.
We have measured up the van, were this board will be installed.
Unfortuently, no matter which way we try, we just cannot get it close to fitting in its new home.
Lynne is playing hide n seak !!
whilst we are laughing n joking about, we disguss ways to install this board
We are both very tired, so we sort out the bad bits of wood, that was hidden behind the 9mm ply sheet.
Lynne will take them down teh brown shed to be used when we next have a fire or a barbie fire.
We decide that the board, will have to be cut in too.
We are just too tired as to weather to cut vertically or horrizonadly.
So we head in the house for a nice cuppa and then some tea.
Today has been a good day in the transit,
Visually you can finally see what the last few weeks has been building up too.
The bed still has work to be done,
but at least it is in place the matress back in the van where it belongs.
Hopefully this week, we will get the board cut and cut n plained to fit and all screwed up.
Then if we can get the 2nd ceiling 3-ply cut and fixed to the roof of the van, we can start emptying the area under the bed and get the painting finished, Maybe install some led strip lighting, to make looking for items easier and not having to rely on a tourch being available..
