We had been away down at Western-Super-Mare for a few days.
As we had quite a bit to discuss n sort out with Maz. (see CBRTIM 2014 Updates Album)
We knew that I was struggling with driving at the moment, so we decided not to use the motorways were possible and on the way back, came of the M5 near Evesham
around 70 odd miles into the journey, I was really starting to struggle, and I saw a sign for Anne Hatterlys House.
far better than a layby and a good way to stretch the legs and I know Lynne would love it.
The Car park charge a very modest £1.00 for 3 hours!
Shit didn't know Lynne took this!
The orchid area was lovely, but I soon had to make use of the plentiful supply of garden benches.
But she takes plenty of pics for me, so she could involve me in her day..
Which not only cheers me up
Stephen Osborn - Dunno m8, I suppose you would have to find someone who is into Anne Hathaway ?
I had nearly made it to this wicker path tunnel entrance to the woods, as Lynne caught me up
as I once again rested,
whilst i rested and had a good look around the bits i could do n see
The Maze should be good once it grows
The flower beds are just awesome, I'm not gonna spoil it for you all.
But the wild Prim roses are exceptional, I have not seen the quality or quantity of wild primroses for decades, just a shame i couldn't dig some up and transfer to our garden, but they are protected these days.
Yes fold Lynne's done it again shes made me happy n relaxed and smiling
after some 30 odd years together ( is it that long!) we still love many of the same simple things
on the way to the house we come across this brook
and some lovely wild flower beds
It cost us £9.00 each, but the tickets last for a year, which is good, so we can come back another time and i can do the bits, I am unable to do this time.
The shop had details of other places withing 20 - 30 mins walk ( double that for me )
Whilst Lynne wandered around the garden areas,i just couldn't do this time
and fill me in on what I am missing
but encourages me for next time
Lynne carried on
one of two wicker covered benches
Lynne wants one !
Wicker hand bag bench - was very comfortable
Whilst I had a rest, before going into the house, Lynne wanders around the garden area
Whilst I rested in the sunshine n garden, Lynne went inside the house.
Ok I couldn't get up the stairs, but the house altho small was very interesting, with many period features and furniture still in place.
The free guides made it a bit more fun and certainly very informative, if somewhat cheesy in places.
But thoughts start about the 100 odd miles we still have to go, to get home and we head of to the car.
To find that we had spent a pleasant two hours at the house n gardens, well worth it and to see Lynne so content n relaxed make s it all worth while.
