31st December 2022 - Life n Grimes of Mr Creature

Hi me.....

Well it's the last day of 2022, !

A bloody horrible year most of the time, with far too few bright times.
I can only hope that 2023, will for me be a lot better, as I continue my journey to try and sort myself out.

I have started to change the postage on my listings, due to the amount of people saying items have not arrived!
the total that I stand to loose so far is just over £200.00 from 11 items! I cannot stand to loose that amount, but what made me sick was people were claiming non delivery on 49p items!! (ok if items are generally lost!,) but is not always the case

What most people do not realise, as they do not read the descriptions is that all post is now collected by royal mail, they also provide the postage labels and are scanned onto there system in front of me. By the time I have got back to my desk, I have emails confirming the items have been collected by themselves. and as They have consignment numbers they can be tracked thru the system. Up to when an item is loaded up to be posted that day!

I know there are still some backlogs in some areas, but when people open a case 3 days after you send an item for NON DELIVERY, that is taking the piss, and so is eBay even with there warnings plastered all over there website advising that postage may be delayed due to strike action, so I am interested on how they fair they will be with that issue!

Obviously I contacted Royal Mails Missing post dept,  and we opened some NONE DELIVERY cases on all the items, and they also asked me to contact buyers and open a "NONE DELIVERY" claim.

Now this is a legal document, and can lead to court action if the information given is not correct.

So I contacted all 11 people, and surprise surprise 1 person who brought a cd for 49p replied within an hours saying do not bother !!!
Just had a 2nd person who closed his case as did not want to pursue the claim any further! Suspicious or what ???

So now I am changing all my listings to "Tracked & SIGNEDFOR" delivery as preferred option and if a buyer does not want that option, they have to message me advising they are refusing the "track & Signedfor" option at there own risk. I will keep the message till after feedback has been left! just to cover myself further.

Obliviously this affect buyers who only buy 1 item at a time, as combined orders are always sent "TRACKED & SIGNEDFOR"..

Now I am just hoping that the buyer will contact Royal Mail and open a case, which will make my own claim easier, once I have the reference number.

It's gonna take me a few weeks to get all the listings changed, but all new listings have the option added now..

Today's Jobs done.

01. Have removed the auto list from most of the Computer memory listings.
Most finish either today or tomorrow, so I will update the postage details after the             weekend.

02. Cameras & Photography Equipment - all items finish today, so cancelled auto list, so I

can change postage if they do not sell.
03.
Mobile Phones, Smart Watches, Accessories & Communication - most already have new           postage added, just one did not and that had enough time for me to add the new postage         details.

04. Video Games & Consoles - Removed the auto list, so I can add new postage, when they end       today.

05. Business, Office & Industrial Supplies - 2 items removed autolist - 1 item already has             postage changed.

06. Toys & Games - auto listing turned off.
