Hi Folks.
I am not expecting to have much free time today, but I will try n squeeze in Lynne's Computer...
Late yesterday, Lynne's new power supply finally arrived.
So fingers crossed it will solve the issue and I can get a long way to finally finishing the build.
It will mean the chair having to come out of the computer room, be replaced with a table and move all the listed items trays to another place.
It also means I will have to stop using Lynne's Computer chair, that I have been using since mine fell apart!!
right I have worked in 10 minutes to see if we can get Lynne's computer up n running...
So I put the tower on me stool and get me tools around me,
After unplugging all the leads, undo the 4 screws out comes the old power supply.
No weird smell you normally get when a PSu has blown, so I think the crystal fuse is ok.
Now I am getting worried!
as several bad scenarios rattle around my brain :( :(
time to open up the new power supply box.
It is certainly well wrapped!
and out comes the new power supply,
but this dread feeling in my gut will not leave me alone!
All bolted up, leads connected.
plug it into the mains and
Nothing happens :( :(
I print off the front switches/motherboard page and double check, nope everything is correctly wired up.
I remove all the connections and try touching the power switch pins, but still nothing !
I will leave it alone for a bit and get on with something else, whilst I have a re think or what can be possibly be wrong and what I am gonna do about it!.
right have ripped everything out of the case, to make sure there are no shortages and for further testing.
Have even moved the motherboard mount, that was in the wrong place!
