Double Bonus job, to have worked out and cut the bed frame & have it mounted!
Let's see how today goes.................
After a delve into the off-cut bag, I find a piece of 3x2 off-cut that is close to the size we are looking for and after trimming it, Lay it out on the floor, were it will live.
Altho the height of this bed side board was ok, we decided, that it would just be too hard for me, to get in and out of, especially on my bad days....
So we moved it out and cut another few inches of with the Jig Saw.
And after some Planing and Using the finger Sander to get it all level we put the bed side back in and lined it back up to it's marks.
That looks a lot better (Not Me !!)
We carry on delving into the off-cut bag,
And were possible use off-cuts, for the wheel arch framework.
As usual, we are dry building at this stage.
As we have most of the small framework done,
We screw it all together.
We decide not to cover the outside of the wheel arch,
as it will give us a bit more space,
so we cut the bottom frame leaving just enough to add a small off-cut of 3x2
for us to screw everything together, later on.
This side of the wheel arch will be in side the ottoman, so we will use some of the silver insulation, just to make it look better and to protect the foam insulation.
The shorter upright is from the off-cut bag and the longer is from 1 of the last 2 3x2 lengths
The framework is nearly complete now, but we only have 1 more full length less, so we
We already have the side length, which was what was left of the 2nd to last 3x2 length.
So we measure the length of the bed and use the last piece of 3x2
And test lay it all in place.
we have tested it with the spirit level and it is square to the floor
But I am in agony now with my stomach and I feel as if I am gonna be sick, so we head inside for a drink and a rest.
And hopefully come back out in 30 mins or so.
Unfortunately that was it for the day, as I went to bed and laid down and tried to get comfortable and I must have done, as it was dark outside.
So I am disappointed in myself, but we would not have been able to carry on much more as Andrews Timber Was closed and we had run out of wood,
So we would have been doing filler jobs, as we cannot yet get to anything else in the van, as everything else and Sheets of Ply are in the way, and no where to move it too...
All We can do is hope that tomorrow, I am feeling well enough to drive down to Andrews timber and by some more 3x2.
