Hi Folks..... Bit of an update for you.
Altho no conversion work re-started just yet, as we await to see if we can get the transit running once again.
The parts I ordered the other day have arrived.
Altho 2nd hand, as I just could not afford new, as money is very tight.
Plus we are not sure if they will solve the issue.
The fuel filter housing.
We know this is probably the weakest point of the fuel system for my mk6,
As 90% of fuel related issues are caused by air getting in thru the seal or because the housing is cracked or warped.
The old fuel filter is just to keep everything lubricated and will be disposed of before fitting.
I already have a gen FORD Fuel Filter, as I tend to buy in bulk.
The Fuel Pump & Fuel PUMP PRESSURE REGULATOR CONTROL VALVE.
Again 2nd had and a huge saving on new prices.
They came still attached to each other.
Again the fuel PUMP PRESSURE REGULATOR CONTROL VALVE, is another item that can cause the problem, that we are having.
But again may not solve the issue.
this cluster, was brought along with the other items, Not really needed at this point, but brought as cheap and all items came from the same person.
My clock refuses to keep time and my lcd displays sometimes just have dashes shown.
Again a common issue, and I will strip and replace the cluster in my housing as it is in better condition and I here that the eprom that records the mileage may be swapped ??
Fingers crossed on that..................................
I have got back to the mechanic I spoke to before he went away on Holiday and he is coming over on Monday to look at the problem and he hopes to be able to sort.
If he cannot do it on the roadside, we have pencilled in a plan B, to get my transit to his workshop.
But we are both hoping this will not be required, but until he has seen my van and done the checks he wants to do, to calm his own mind as another person has tried to fix before.
