6th August 2013 - Ardnamurchan Point

Published on 6 September 2022 at 02:41

Right were of to Ardnamurchan Point, another of Tim's Fav places.
Again today we are all travelling in Sally the SEAT, to save on fuel.

We will be spending most of the day driving, and just stopping along the way when Val or Donald point out a place Tim loved or we see a place we want to explore..

But the roads are all single lane with passing bays, so gonna b slow journey.

It's decided to rain!

Some awesome views, now the rain has stopped

I have pulled over to let the cars thru.

We watch the mist rolling in on the mountain tops

Time for a stop to give my legs a stretch

a steady stream of people stop here as well

Donald & Val - keep us in Stories n tales about Timothy as we travel.

Donald deep in thought. at times like these, we all know somehow that space was required until we returned back to the fold.

As we drive around the bay this view opens up

Someone took a disliking to the bollard!
Weirdly the locals and business vehicles, all drove carefully and pulled into passing bays really early, but you could spot the holiday people by the way they were driving stupidly and hammering there brakes at the last minute.

Logging! - All ready to be carted off

the western Atlantic

huge fog horn, luckily they didn't use it whilst we were there

Popular place

we sit in the shop/cafe in a period kitchen

We spot this Eagle perched on a telegraph pole

we are finally back at the cabin, only done about 70 odd miles but with the rods took us all day. Time for food n bed

We finally arrive and altho its been raining most of the journey, as we pull up the rain stops and the sun comes out!

Altho not been used for over 20 years the engine room still has that lovely diesel and oil smell

on top of the sea wall, its a long way down

Lynne n Me

Time getting away from s once again and its time o head back to the cabin.
