Hi Folks......... - Up early today so I can get to Hospital for 9am!

Things definitely did not go to plan today, I expected to loose the morning to Going to the Hospital, but was hoping to get at least 2 hours in the Transit!.

But on the way to hospital, as we were cruisin' at just under 60mph, The transit started to fell as if it was missing a beat,

so I slowed down a bit and it cleared up with the engine running smoothly once again

(So I thought I would call in at Kingsway on way home and get it booked in to see what the issue is),

But then at Crowland Round about as slowing down, I put me foot down to pull out onto the roundabout, and nothing, the turbo light was flashing and no power.

I pulled in at the next layby, a tried stopping n starting the engine, which often clears the issue, but not this time.
So I crawled at just under 30mph all the way to Peterborough Hospital, Just as I was passing the drop off point the engine died and I let it roll into the pick up bays.
Luckily It made, it...
So out comes the Zimer frame and head into reception and down for me CT scan.

When the 1st nurse came thu to ask me some questions, I mentioned I have no bladder control and am wearing a large towel.

Imagine teh Ct scanners op, when she asked me to pull me trousers below me bum cheeks and I did! and she said stop can you pull your boxers up ???

I just looked at the 1st nurse and smiled and then I re-told the issues to the CT scanner Op and she smiled and said, ok. I just said I have gotten over all embarrassment and we had a good laugh about it.

Anyway we are soon done, and I am back at reception and head out to the transit, thinking it would be ok, but it would not start.

So back into the hospital, explained to the receptionist and asked were the nearest phone was, she allowed me to use one on reception desk.
I am soon thru to RAC and I explained the issue and she said that it was unlikely that they would be able to get me going again, so they would send a transporter, they said all were busy at moment but it should be less than 2 hours.
She was out by 1 hour, So when the RAC man came to me, I explained what happened and he said will it start, I said no, I had tried for ages, before ringing RAC.
But he said give it a try and would you know it it fired up straight away, no turbo light!!

So he followed me out onto the ring road, and I stopped after 6 miles and reported that everything is working the turbo light was back on.

I had stopped were he could get in front of me, and we were soon all loaded up and we arrived at Kingsway, just down the road from home.
I signed his job sheet and thanked him for his help, and they soon had the diag machine on and cleared the error, so I could get home.

So it is booked in of Friday Morning, But they will come and get it if they can fit it in for me...

Another expense I can well do without, especially as it is an intermittent fault, that has been going on since I started to drive the van again last year.

At Times during the day, my left eye started drooping and I could not focus properly, But even worse for me, as I was talking the the nurses, receptionist & RAC driver my speech was very slurry, so much so, That I had to give in as they could not understand me......

Tomorrow I will see if I can get transport for next weeks appointment, as I do not think they will have the transit repaired in time.

After I got home I was bone weary so I went to bed to just rest and must have fallen asleep!!..
