Not been in a good place since Wed, and still not much better, but after 3 days of doing nothing, finally guilt got me off my arse and out of bed.
I still not in a good place and don't wanna see or talk to anyone, more to protect them from my anger, frustration & depression more than anything else.
So this morning I decided to drag my arse back down the workshop and try to do something!.
All the Honda items sorted today are left over from my Honda 550/4 SOHC Chop.
All the Suzuki items sorted today are left over from my Kurgan Gs1000 Chop.
All other items are parts from bulk lots I have brought in, and do not require them, so selling back on, to help recover costs of original purchases..
This rack is from a Honda GL1400 Gold wing and is on Ebay.
fitted this wire tunnel cover to the middle section of the roof
and the end soon follows, with the last double socket fitted joining everything together
Was just about to fit this socket, when I noticed the cable was wet!
A quick look outside revels a split along one of the roof egdes. I thought I had escaped any damage from the winds n rain, but looks like I didn't.
Will hit the builders places on Monday to see if i can find some 90 degree plastic about 6 wide each side and about 14 foot long. For now i will screw it over the split along the hole ridge, and re look at it once it warms up enough to re felt if i have to.
The plastic bag is to protect the socket.
Altho when i checked it this arvo its all dry!
shelf fitted to the shelf unit i started few weeks back
and start to make
up another shelf
the frame is soon made up
and screwed into place
with a hardboard covering.
Filled with the plastic tubs that will house electrical bits
Alan Viggers - don't forget when full label em so u know whats in em
Stephen Osborn - I wont
Alan Viggers - cheap way to label, marker pen and masking tape.
Stephen Osborn - :) :)
I have just spotted more blue containers with grinding discs in, and as this is gonna be there permanent home
I change the tubs for the last 3 of the black ones and sort the grinding/cutting discs out
a month ago this shelf was full of boxes with a real mixture in, but now looking a bit empty
I find more plastic tubs to go on the top shelf :)
and I find one of the grinding wheel tools, so give it a permanent home
mmmmm - slowly making space under the workbench, but just not enough room to move the rest out, so it can be insulated and boarded up yet.
Probably next week, will start pulling out those boxes under this side of the workbench and finding new homes for most of it - i hope
I've moved the Big One forward
and start tidying up this area a bit
ready to start work on the tool box frame
this rear mudguard was on the donor bike that is becoming CBRTIM. It is no longer needed and on Ebay
Same goes for this custom 2 piece seat
Time to start sorting thru this box of electrical stuff.
I brought back from Maz's the other week
Heat shrink gets a new home
Lucas connectors get a new home
Electrical eye connectors get a new home
these two boxes are for the bullet connectors - but could only find the male ones
The females must be still in my boxes of bits at Maz's
Assorted Spade fuses get a new home
gotta move this wood, i was hoping to be able to use it all,
with out keep moving it around the workshop,
but don't look like that's gonna happen
this wire needs some trunking
whilst tidying up the floor below, come across this off cut of trunking
Some Quick measuring
and the bits are all cut ready to start, the next little project in the workshop..
ive come up for another break as T-shirt is soaking wet and I need a break,
so carry on listing Items, I have found today that I don't want to keep.
Now On Ebay
right rear foot peg - on Ebay
Suzzy GS1000E rear brake lever - now on Ebay
Suzzy GS right hand handle bar switch (no screws) now on Ebay

I had at one stage brought in a Gs1000E std Bike for spares for Kurgan.
So had some parts I couldn't use or do not need as already got spares.
So these parts were cleaned up and sold on to help recover costs of buying the spares bike...
Suzzy GS1000E air box chrome covers - now on Ebay
Honda CBR1000F Big One std handle bar levers - now on Ebay
am cooled down, wearing a new T-shirt and Back down the workshop and the top frame is screwed together
The bottom frame soon follows
Starting to screw
the uprights
and its soon screwed together
the cross braces are screwed into place
Right, i have been putting this off, but its gotta be moved
Some 30 mins later, its all over the other side, for now
Spot the fireproof insulation sheets, altho good enough just 1 sheet thick, the workshop is in fact 3 sheets thick :) :)
Time for a quick tidy up of the floor area
and after sweeping I put the frame into place.
the tool box drops straight in
and the top soon follows, not yet all bolted together of the floor/wall of workshop, as i want to make sure everything fits as i want first.
I give the top a good wipe down,
god only knows what the mess was but it took a long time to clear it up
I move the tool box to this side, and start to dry build the side rails
but the doors wont open!
As can be seen, its not by much, so when I can get to the plane i will plane a few mms off the batton
mmmm will have to think on this side
I start to build another shelf on this wall
using some 2x2
and with some 2x1 baton cut n screwed to it, its not going any where.
I decide to make some strengtheners
using some off cuts of 2x2
and there soon screwed into place
making the shelf even stronger
I find these off cuts
and they just happen to fit in here a treat.
Now ready to be screwed together,
once the front baton has been shaved a bit
using 2x2 and 2x1 off cuts
Make up spacers
which just happen
to be the right depth
for the next shelf, they are all screwed into the previous fixed baton making it all nice n strong.
Right need to start going thru this lot in front and on top of the storage bench.
The Fireproof polystyrene sits on top of the Big One for now,
but will move it to the wood shed tomorrow
Once again, i have sold some stuff,
but getting fed up of keep moving all this lot,
so gonna find it all new homes!
I clear this shelf and for now the rag boxes can go here
( no point putting them under the bench),
where they will live as I want to get it insulated and lined under the workbench sometime next week.
more containers these can go on the workbench shelving for now
starting to look better
this metric thread kit , cost a lot of money, but has never been out the box and I no longer want it, so its on Ebay
I find another box of grey plastic storage boxes,
so add a bit more width to the lower shelf and give them a home
I knocked the Rack on the Big One and its all loose
Considering i used brand new lock nuts on it,
not sure how its worked loose,
so yet another job for when i start work on the Big One.
That's it for today, got more done that I hoped -
I don't feel any better, but that's ok,
i may hook up the guitar amp and take it out on the guitar
or I may just chill out for the rest of the night.
