12th July 2022.
Good Morning. I have finally manged to get a few hours down the workshop today.
As normal, when I sit next to CBRTIM, I just sit n chill and sometimes Tim speaks to me.
I was planning on Just getting items together and get them ready for prep n paint.
But Tim said no, somethings not right ?
Do just one more dry build, so that's today's plan is to start the final dry build....

The seat was supposed to be hinged. but without being advised the whole thing was changed!
At the moment the seat is held on with 2 x wingnuts at the rear of the seat.
This is going thru the leather and will not last long, as well as being totally unassesable when Tim is fully loaded up and we need to fill the lower petrol tank up.
If the filler for the lower tank plan we requested had been followed thru this issue would not be a problem!.

The rest of CBRTIM main build is stored behind the frame...

But needs must, so after 20 mins or so, I carefully slide Tim's frame towards the door, so that I can sit in me wicker chair and potter away.

CBRTIM'S seat all finished...
But unfortunately, the seat mounts to the frame are not what we asked for or wanted !
Seat was covered by Cloggy, who as usual has been done to his usual high standards..
Have removed the seat for now.
It is waiting for me to wrap it up in bubble wrap to protect it.

The side plates, that are there to provide gusseting for top shock mount and the frame.
Should have been ground flush to the frame and then welded in !!
Once again, we mentioned what we wanted !
So now gotta waste more MONEY to have the cut out and filed back so they fit flush..

Took me ages to lift the lower tank to the top of the frame, Due to lack of strength in my arms.
But as we cannot find anyone to do anything as we wish !!!
We are gonna have to try n do it ourselves, even tho my hands are no longer steady enough to hold a grinder or weld......

What a fucking mess !
Lynne n me will try to remove this mess probably on 16th July 2022..
If I am well enough.

I presume these holes are to be drilled out ???
You would have thought they would have been drilled before sealing the petrol tank !!
I will find the sender unit and offer it up, to confirm.

Took me over an hour to lower the fuel tank to the floor !

And another 2 hours struggling to get the petrol tank into place.
So far held in with one bolt at front and the rear.

This hole does NOT line up !!

As can be seen when I try to screw the bolt into place (by hand)

This hole just needed the threads cleaning.
I cant seem to find enough washers, so will either hit ebay or if well enough to ride Vincent will nip over to Town n County, were I get most things metal..

Paul Bratley turns up with Tims top petrol tank that Heidi had got prepped, sprayed and done her thing....
Just what Lynne n me wanted....

Not quite lined up were it will live

But its Time to wrap it up to keep it nice n safe for now.
Just about the only thing thats 100% finished (or will be once fuel cap and taps are installed.
