12th October 2023 - Items Brought For Transit Conversion

Last of the AGM Leisure batteries. 

Brought from same buyer I brought the other 4 from on eBay.

When I am ready, I will have to charge these individually, before connecting all 5 together.

As it seams they all have to have to be charged to help the charging equipment to balance charge them properly and to help to lengthen there life.

I have brought 2 of these.

I plan to have one in the cab, so I can keep an eye on the leisure batteries charge and the other in the back, so i can see what the state the batteries are in.

Will not be using the clips supplied, as they more trouble than they are worth..

15th September 2023 - Disco Transit Green Long Wheel base and Hi Roof Conversion

Hi Folks.... - Another Update & finally progress we hope..

 

I am up around 8am this morning and searching for some injectors.

Unfortunately I just do not have the funds to buy new, so its time to see if I can find some nearly new injectors with the money I have left in the bank.

On FB Market place I found 2 sales that said buy me,

 

the first one refused point blank to post!

and I could not find anyone to collect for me,

 

which was a shame as it not only came with injectors that had done less that 500 miles,

 

but all the rest of the bits around the

injectors for £150.00.

The 2nd one I sent a message to and she replied withing 20 mins and after sending me some pics and them answering my questions.
I decided I would try and buy them, but the stumbling block was the price £500.00!.

I only had max £350.00 and that would leave £2.03 in my account.....

So it was down to some haggling and after a while I said ok I just cannot get anymore funds.

And I went back to my search.....

Some 30 mins later she sends me another message saying we have a deal and that here husband will drive them round free of charge!....

 

They have done less than 50 miles as there van failed its MOT and they decided to scrap it.

and best of all the sales invoice...

 

I have also found in my box of transit items/tools etc a complete injector seal kit.

I will get them wrapped up and posted to Matt on Monday.

Fingers crossed we finally have the engine all sorted....

8th November 2022 - Items Brought For Transit Conversion

This evening saw Lynne n me, getting back to the Scotland Trip and looking a various small items, we would like, or maybe make things a bit easier on us.

At this stage, it is just Ideas we are discussing and nothing is set in stone! or is it ???

 

A productive session, with one light sorted :) :) 

The rest will require more discussion. Altho pretty urgent, especially were cabling, mounting, holes to be drilled are concerned, the rest can be dealt, with as an when.

Money is still tight for buying items to start the conversion. Luckily we have brought some bits n bobs previously that we never used, so hopefully this Saturday will see the start of teh conversion.
