GOOD MORNING FOLKS.

Today is another day spent rebuilding my computer, But as usual my health is getting in the way and is slowing me down dramatically.
So as usual it's taken me several periods of rest to slow me down even more..

But today is a landmark day, as All being well I will be test starting it today.
There are loads of parts still waiting to be serviced/cleaned and some parts are ready to fit, but is being held up as either I am not ready to install them yet, or when I go to service them, we are finding they are beyond repair, or it's cheaper to buy New..

Right lets move on.

The first job is to clean all the old CPU/heatsing compound from the CPU, making sure its nice n clean ready for the new paste.

I have removed the heat sink and fan from the CPU/Motherboard ready to dismantle and clean..

Next job is to remove the CPU Cooling fan from its mount.

Its not too bad a state, in fact I expected it to be far worse on teh CPU side.

This side is completely block and I just hope teh CPU has not suffered any over heating damage!

More compressed air and paint brush, and the CPU fan is looking far better.

The CPU fan is still not as clean as I would like, but it just refuses to be any cleaner!

and finally the CPU heat sink & fan are remounted on the motherboard

Nearly ready to be mounted back in my Case.

After a full can of compressed air and a good going over with a paint brush it looks almost new

Power Switch, 2 x ssd bays, for backing up and then removal of ssds to a safe place.

Power and hdd lights unit.

Not to dusty, so just used paint brush to clean..

I have cable tied the cables, so its tidier and easier to manage..

In goes the motherboard and screwed down

and I start to cable it up - ready for testing..

after a brief hickup with the onboard hdmi not working (switched of in bios).
I cleaned and installed the graphics card I normally use and the computer booted straight up......

The psu fan is very noisy and it took nearly an hour to locate a new one, so I do not plan on finishing the install much further, as i would only have to remove a lot of it to get the psu out.

Harddrives are well dusted up, so these three HDDs will be removed from this carrier to make cleaning a lot easier..

out comes the toshiba hdd ready to be cleaned with paint brush.

next comes out the seagate hhd.

ready to be cleaned

and finally the last seagate hdd

now ready to be cleaned..

Before refitting hdds back into the cage, each hdd was tested indevidually as 2 of the had stopped working before the strip down!.

It turned out to be faulty power cables, which were thrown away and replacements sorced from my computer cable draw.
