Hi Folks....

Right todays the day - well hopefully. I have put everything else to one side in an effort to get Kurgan sorted and hopefully taken for a test ride.

So A job i almost forgot to do, but lucky for me I noticed from the pics I had taken is to bend teh sprocket tab washer onto the nut.
Then put the sprocket cover back on, making sure none of teh wires get nicked in teh process.
On goes the Kliktonic unit
and connected to the gear shaft in what I hope is teh correct position.
and plug it into the control unit. I have cable tied up teh excess wire. for tidyness
the right hand switch gear. Have removed the unwanted wires from teh kill switch, which has reduce the size of the cable by 4 wires. Taped it up and put the plastic windy stuff back on it.
Hopefully for teh last time cable tied to the handle bars.
after not being able to find which wires operated the horn, took the left hand switc apart and it still wouldnt work, then i remembered teh earth wire and all sorted and wired into one of those natty block Dougs Cycles sent accross. ( must make an order n
re put the left hand switch gear back on teh handle bars & re cable tie the wires to teh handle bars. I have left teh clutch loose as it makes the operation a bit lighter.
gently push teh wires around teh outsode of teh headlamp shell and bolt the headlamp up and test it out....
Right tahts all working now to start on the idiot lights. Not looking forward to this at all...
smoke coming from headlamp shell when trying to find teh test the high beam idiot light ! turned out i conected one side to live instead of earth 🙁
the wire colours in teh clock consol bear no relation to the wire colours any were else, well on quick inspection they dont. so wrote them down in teh hope that I will not loose it again. so far The high been idiot light colours are Yellow - which conn
Had forgot to provide a live from the light switch so added orange wire and taped up and fed to left side of frame for now. After sitting back and thinking about these wires and teh best place to have them. headlamp shell, unlike the Japanese I cant get
Sorry I fell asleep at this desk and lost a few hours, so lets get on. I have removed the pints backing plate complete, and plan on using teh one from kurgans old engine which was all replaced with new stuff in 2010
and on it all goes - holding screws just finger tight at teh moment
connect the white & black wires from the points to the loom under the petrol tank
And timed it up - over the years ive tried all types of methods, but an old indicator i find i get the most accurate results.
I just couldnt resist so sat the petrol tank on kurgan and using just enough thread on teh mounting bolts to hold it all in place..... now should I try and start Kurgan or leave it and get more done...................
