Published on 14 November 2022 at 02:00

After a mini break and a morning of sorting BSH's and listing them at Mags4NABD.

Its time to head down the workshop.

There's not too much I can do at the moment, till we do the door,

so I can finish lining the left wall and build more units .

So its on with all those little jobs and generally, sorting out and tidying up. This light is just too big for where I was planning it to go 🙁 - John Hayward This one mate.... If its an 8f florescent tube we are having them replaced coz they are being ph
tests ok 🙂
This beam, we are planing to put at the bottom of the workshop, to give us a solid square foundation for the side door frame.
Will need the edges trimming but sounds solid elsewhere
nip outside and look at the side door, I cant wait to get rid of it! Its bloody pink! - and no wise cracks please 🙂
mmmmmmmmm I didnt think there was a beam here, this is gonna mean a big re think to the plans.
In someways its a good thing, in others its not, as gonna have to dig a trench out to sink the bottom lintel down, otherwise we wont get the door frame in.... Its gonna be tight as it is
This roof beam gave way a few years back, and as its in the wrong place we will be replaicing and making the beam double the size. If anyone in Spalding has a couple of acro props i can borrow for a few days, would make the job easier. I will hit the hir
This is the spacer beem were the electrics are going in the front part of the workshop. with the first mains socket back plate cut out
the 2nd one soon follows and the tunnel is lined and the baton screwed back in place.
In goes the 1st socket backing
and the 2nd one soon follows suit with aas many screws as i could, to make sure it wont pull out
I feed the wire thru for the first sockets
and its soon wired up, and the front is loosely screwed into place
the 2nd socket soon follows suit. There are more wires to be therad thru here yet, so wont be panelled off just yet..jpg
Time for a tidy up 🙁 It takes some jiggling but get the door upright and sttod against the left wall.
these wire channels find a temp home in the roof beam's.jpg
The polystyrene bin is sorted out and given a temporary home on the bench
These battons run the whole length of the workshop, so I cut them in half
and store them on the left wall
two bags of rubbish head towards the front of the house for the bin men tomorrow
These led lights are left over from when i was wireing up the stage trusses - now in Disco room
2 more bags of rubbish for dustbin men
the polystyrene stands against the left wall as well
What a mess, but its a struggle to know were to start as under the black bag, is waiting for the walls to be done around the bench for its final home, same with a fair bit of other stuff in this area.
So lets start with this end of the shed
Finally get everything outa this corner
starting to see more of The Big One
mmmmmmmmmmm
I put the washer on the bench
with the polystyrene box on top
This box is now over half full and ready for Jan Horton to pick up for kindlig, oplus theres loads outside as well for her 🙂
This welder
will be sold on as, I cant weld no more for health reasons 🙁
The Big Ones nearly free 🙂 But i notice more stuff thats been stored underneath
these classic oil cans are full, not sure what i will do with them at this stage as cant be used in any of my vehicles, will research them and they will probably end up on Ebay.
Time to tidy up this wiring a bit more
and along here
out comes sooty the hoover
and he does a great job of picking up the rubbish
even in here
i just wrap the excess lighting wire around the roof beams for now.
now the cooker socket sits nicelly on the Big One instead of hanging by the wires
Its moved, sorry about the shakes didnt realise I had them till i saw this pic
I notice that we had missed the door frame with the hardboard screws
Which is soon sorted
next lets get started in here, after moving the bits out that are lent against the wall
I cut a bit off 3x1 as a spacing packer to level things off. Thats it for today, as i said its just odd jobs, that in the end will make other jobs come together more quickly and hopefully save a bit of time later on 🙂 See you all tomorrow
