23th January 2014 - Various Hobbies - Workshop Update

Published on 14 November 2022 at 02:02

Hi Folks.

once again the morning was taken up with processing Ebay & Mags4NABD sales & listing BSH mags at Mags4NABD again,

am about halfway thru the BSH pile that is in here,

Not even thinking about the ones waiting to be processed at this stage.

So after lunch, its off down to the workshop, were I decide, its about time the last bit of the new workshop front was panelled 🙂
Again using bits from my cut off bin, as got so many and the large sheets are at a premium now!
Some 2x2 batoning from the cut off bins provides the frame work at the top
Nearly there 🙂
thats it done, not pretty, but by the time everything is painted and cupboarsds n shelves put up, will cover it all up 🙂
After moving the tool chest, its time to sort this lot out.
After moving the tool chest, its time to sort this lot out.
Right have given it a good sweeping
and its time for its first coat of pain
and this wall
and here 🙂
The workshop is starting to get a lot brighter
It's gonna make working in the workshop a happy place
From my rest seat near the bench, already looking brighter 🙂 - Norton Commando The bike is all wrapped up safe and warm.
ight lets get a 3rd coat on the walls 🙂 - Norton Commando The workshop is really Looking Great. - Stephen Osborn cheers m8
starting to cover a lot better now 🙂
and its done, but not dry yet
So carefully pull the end down on the 1st piece of cealing boarding and remove the front baton - Norton Commando You and Strawb have been staying busy. - Yes m8 , Strawb's is a great help tp me. Especially his knowledge with wood and his ideas. But just m
and cut back the one behind it, which means the board now lines up with the roof timbers 🙂
When I have the space, will use the planer to make a baton to fit 🙂
Time to tack it all back in place
This tool box, is gonna go here ( I think). But again its too low, movability is not important, so will build a frame work for it to sit in, with storage underneath and shelving above. 🙂
Right ive been leaving this for ages, but its gotta be sorted now, as its holding up progress on this wall, in goes the plastic liner.
and from my polystyrene cut off bin
i start to fill the hole up,
Like a giant jigsaw
ts all wedge into place 🙂
not pretty but effective 🙂
the insulation is over 100mm thick 🙂
and the polystyrene bin looks a lot emptier now 🙂
A look in the other shed finds, this hardboard offcut, that fits nicely, and its soon nailed in.
This is why this part of the wall was left, as I hadnt made my mind up how to sort this issue. Will plane a 2x2 offcut to fit then fix it with 4" screws 🙂 A job for later on 🙂
The top was a bit differrent, but its soon cut to fit n tacked into place 🙂
I give this wall a 4th coat of paint
and this one 🙂
and this board has had 3 coats. I have not got as much done as I hoped, would have been nice to have got this side of the roof insulated and lined. And some more tidying up done. But my chest is very tight now and altho the workshop is lovelly and warm
