Hi Folks.
Not long now, if all goes well....
Jobs to do
mount the ig coils.
finish connecting the wiring together.
put cheep oil in engine
check timing
put tank on frame
put trickle charger on battery
and try n start the bike
bleed front n rear brakes
adjust the clutch
adjust the Kliktronic
check bike over from front to back making sure everythings tight.

On Saturday Grumpy turned up with his welder and within a few mins had welded a nut to the frame. this is a temp fix for teh exhaust, but I just haven't the money or time to take the head of and get the stud hole alloy welded up and redrilled in tapped. E

several swipes with a 7lb hammer and teh nut didnt move !

so of comes teh exhaust (once again)

re connect the 2 springs

with teh Gaskets Richard got for me and some fire guard

in they go

and teh last 2 🙂

and on goes the exhaust, at this stage little did I know the struggle I was gonna have !¬

re found teh bolt that was used on teh donor bike

and start to gently tighten both bolts up -- Paul William Elliott Nice...wish i had done that instead of taken my wifes motor out to fix it...lol

No 2 & no 4 exhaust down pipes went in ok if a bit of struggle with getting nuts on the studs

no3 exhaust pipe was having non of it - it wouldnt line up and after some 40 mins managed to get it lined up but took another 30 mins to get the nuts on !

Luckily the piece of metal that i was usuing as a bracket allows a few diff combinations and eventually found one teh both holes lined up

nice n tight

and its all done - I suspect that I will have to keep tightening the exhaust up for a while as it settles in. Just sometime sit would be nice to buy a std exhaust and it fits what we build/modify easily. I know know why we just used down pipes and VW bee
