Overslept big time this morning,

Mrs C woke me up and it was gone 11am,

I had so much planned to do before Strawb's turned up.

But he was sat there when I got down stairs.

First job is to finish the door pins, i am tempted to remake some of the earlier ones, but decide against it.
I cut the plastic liner than has been keeping the draughts down from the old side door
Thats better
Strawbs has marked out the cut line (the left one)
Last minute reflections, to make sure we both happy with what I am about to do - - John Hayward Nice one Mr C...... I'm a little tea pot short n stout and hear's my handle and here's my spout........ 😉
and its down to me to use my faveriote destructive tool, the circular saw! 🙂
Now that's a big hole 🙂
Dont look so bad from here, but secretly i am wondering if we will get the workshop secure tonight!
the mess we are having to work in, luckily its reasonably dry.
Its time to gig out under the workshop to fit the floor lintel
Some cutting is required, the hard way 🙁
Its even reasonably level at this stage
Strawbs using angle grinder with cutting disc, not the ideal tool, but the best solution we could come up with
It takes a while lining brick underneath the floor lintel, but finally its level 🙂
In goes the first upright we made few days back, making sure it is level in all angles
and we offer the door frame up 🙂
Bummers its out the floor lintel is no longer level and takes a good hour to resolve

True to form, i dont have a piece of 3x2 the required length, but I have loads that are too short, that can be made longer 🙂
time to grind of the screws that are sticking thru
and time to offer it up to the door frame and workshop. We stick a couple of screws to hold it square, a few more to screw the door frame to the workshop frame
and we fit the door, the hinges, took a bit of titilating to get them in the right places, and to cap it all off, the door opens and closes perfectly 🙂
We secure the door frame, to the new workshop frames to make it secure 🙂 and every things still level 🙂
Securing the door framework, to the rest of the workshop. A long way to go here and once done will be covered up.
