Well Ive found myself with nothing to do for an hour or so, so its off down the bike shed.
So first job today is gonna be take the carbs apart and soak the jets n stuff in in Vinagar over nite.
Of the 4 float bowl drain screws have only managed to get one loose - rest are solid - hopefully the vinagar will help there.
Bummer run outa vinagar so carbs 3 & 4 gonna have to share a bowl. Not ideal but should be ok as long as i dont knock the bowls. Now will leave em for a day or so - n see what they come out like.
The needles holding the floats are stuck solid have sprayed em and will try n drift them out next time i'm in the shed. Floats seem level, but will try n find out float height and a ruler,
So onto the final job of the wiring - the Gear selector lights thats 5th Gear all done
and 4th gear follows
and finally for this block 3rd gear is sorted
another block nand 2nd gear is wired up
and finally 1st gear is wired up.
trim back the wire cover from light unit
and finally the Headlamp shell is all bolted up once again.
On testing the gear indicator lights - it goes into 1st gear ok - but wont go into 2nd gear - so I adjust the Kliktronic several times and still wont work.
So I find an old gear lever to try and the gearbox is solid and refuses to go into 2nd gear. This may mean that Kurgan at worst wont be on the road this year if I have to do an engine strip, Time and money just wont allow. But when I get the carbs back
