Morning Folks.
Today is gonna be a busy day, If all goes to plan.
with no one area hopefully taking up much more than an hour or so, some hopefully less.
But this update is for our living room, as it's pouring it down outside!.
As some of you may know, I struggled to see the TV when using the text or the OSD, but the projector is still sitting on top of 2 tables on top of each other, and when I get unstable I keep knocking them down!
So we have brought a projector stand thing, but we cant hang it from the ceiling, as it will pull it down, and the chimney breast is just too close and too far of centre.
But before all that we need to get the stand put together.
Update - In the afternoon, I managed to get more things sorted out and filled a bin liner of rubbish!
Update - in the evening, we did try several places to install this bracket.
The nearest we can get is 10" to far from the nearest wall !
We know we cant screw it to the ceiling as that was put up in 1900, when the house was built, and it is in need of replacement.
It is in fact on our list to be replaced, but we just do not have any funds for it at this time!
So we have sort of come up with a plan.....
Build a cabinet 10" wide and mount it to the wall securely.
at one stop make a cupboard n door up, to hide the mains sockets and mount the projector & mount to the door!.
Need to think about this, we undoubtedly have the timber laying around, it is just finding it, and coming up with drawings of what we want and how to make it solid.
Maybe add some 1mm plate inside to give strength.
The rest of the cabinet, will house what DVD's we have with space to spare...
