Odie phoned me last night and we had a good long chat about how things are gonna go and whats needed.
The first priority it was decided was to get the trike on its own 3 wheels, before we could do much more.
So hoping to have another pretty good day like yesterday.....
JOBS TO DO LIST
01. STRUTS 3" TOO LONG - ARE AWAY BEING SHORTEND READY TUESDAY TBC
02. STEM NOW REMOVED - LUCKILY JUST THREADED IN)
03. get new stainless spring rods for springs on forks including nuts..(sizes to be added as I do it)
04. have the choice of 3 wheels 17" 18" & 19" - which one will depend on how much is taken of the struts..
05. Wheel spindle to be made/modified (think I may have one that just needs shortening..
06. Wheel spacers need to be made, (sizes to be added as I do it)
07. need brake disc and bolts if using 19" wheel (Honda CB550/4) and poss another disc..
08. Need disc brake mounts making (sizes to be added as I do it)
09. handlebars to be re-chromed or painted - depending on which ones I use.
10. throttle cable to be made (sizes to be added as I do it)
11. front light,indicator mounts (inc number plate) to be made.
12. Speedo mount to be made..
13. source a coffin petrol tank (for electrics) should know more in next few days.
14. put manifolds back on engine.. (exhaust manifold not arrived yet)
15. bolt on temp exhaust (hopefully get new one made to my pattern)..
16. bolt on altinater
17. need water pipe circlips (6 x 20mm 4 x 40mm 2 x 30mm) BEING SORTED
18. get fan belt and install..
19. fit electronic ignition (currently on new points and condensers, so not important)..
20. new rocker gasket required as i broke the one I got and it seeps oil..
21. bend clutch arm on gearbox..
22. clean and paint clutch pedal..
23. fit clutch rod..
24. fit front seat..(need new hinges)
25. fit clutch pedal
26. drain and refill gearbox with new oil (have oil)..
27. Drain and refill diff (have oil)..
28. measure up and make rear bench. (sizes to be added as I do it)
29. fit rear lights..
30. fit number plate..
31. install prop shaft..
32. install lower radius arms.. (will have another go tomorrow, but may need to wait until struts are done.)
33. ..
34. wire the trike...(need wire)
35. ..
36. fit both side lights..
37 install painted indicator lights..
38. make sure petrol tank filler hose is mounted securely..
39. install brake hose between rear brake drums...
40. install master cylinder to frame..
41. check to see if i have pipes from master cylinder to rear wheel..
42. mount seloniod in electric box under the seat..
43. need flasher unit
44. install flasher unit in electric box under the seat
45. fit gear lever in gearbox..
46. ..
47. install rear brake lever..
48. need rear brake switch - barrel type from early Honda's..
49. mount front mudguard (have few chrome Honda ones 2 choose from)..
50. time up engine properly..
sure there's loads more to be added to this list.
The jobs are not in any order - and I will delete them as I get them done...
